"Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it" - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
"Michelangelo was walking down the street with his friend one day. As they passed a rock on the side of the road, the friend playfully kicked it. 'Why did you kick that ?!!' Michelangelo inquired, quite incensed. 'What's the big deal?' his friend replied. 'It's just a rock.' 'No,' Michelangelo said. 'It's an angel.' Several months later, Michelangelo invited his friend to his studio where he unveiled his newest sculpture. It was a beautifully carved angel. When his friend marveled at it, Michelangelo said, 'You see, I told you it wasn't a rock.'" - "Bringing the Story Home" by Lisa Lipkin
In 1994, I needed "something to tell the grandchildren." So, I signed up to do a bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. And although many a people laughed, I completed the 7 day, 585 mile, journey. And since then, in support of the fight against the AIDS pandemic, I have completed a total of 10 cycling journeys from San Francisco to Los Angeles. My AIDS LifeCycle Story
In 1996, I had an idea of cycling the "South of France." And although many a people laughed, I completed a solo bicycle tour in France. This tour covered Troyes, Chanttillon, Dijon, Dole, Besancon, Nimes, Montpellier, Beziers, Carcassonne, Toulouse, Montauban, Cahor, Brive, and Limoges, France.
In the year 2000, I enrolled in a 2yr. Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Program at the Iyengar Yoga Institue of San Francisco. And although many a people laughed, I completed the two years of training. And since then, I have put down the Chardonnay and become a seasoned student of Yoga and an Iyengar Yoga teacher. Iyengar Yoga Classes - San Francisco
And now, I have chosen to reach out to Oprah Winfrey. So, I created "An invitation to Oprah Winfrey and Harpo Productions." And although many a people laugh, I continue with my journey. An Invitation to Harpo Productions & Oprah Winfrey
"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. You can quote them. Disagree with them. Glorify or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."
So, as you go through your daily life, don't laugh at the dreams of others because, it's from the seed of a dream that beautiful gardens grow (smile).
Wishing the best of all possible worlds, Iyengar Yoga Teacher, 11th Year, AIDS LifeCycle Cyclist, tony
