Sum Majere presents "The Nobody Hole"

The Tale of Pygmy Paul

About Me

Halloween 2006 marked the birth of hip-hop's first fantasy epic,...."THE NOBODY HOLE". In the grand tradition of writers like Octavia Butler, Anne Rice, and Edgar Allan Poe, rising emcee SUMKID MAJERE has created a dark and twisted universe constructed almost entirely through rhyme. The tale is woven on a canvas of sophisticated beats, courtesy of producer BADTOUCH (www.myspace.com/badtoca), and illustrated visually by DOUG HOFFMAN (www.myspace.com/doughoffmanart). Told in musical narrative, similar to Prince Paul's masterpiece "A Prince Among Thieves", THE NOBODY HOLE follows the tale of a most unfortunate boy by the name of Pygmy Paul Lowenfall. After a violent run-in with his mother, he finds himself pulled into a nether-world, wrought with lost souls, demons and fallen angels...here, nobody is whole. Stalked by a maniac in a panda mask, Paul's frantic search for a way out of The Nobody Hole begins, but along the way he discovers an old star traveler, a witch with a dark past, and a mysterious man with silver eyes who reveals a secret buried deep within Paul's blood...“The Nobody Hole” is what we at The Nobody Board like to call a "Graphic Album", meaning it's far more than just an album,...it's more like a comic book set to hip-hop.This is the first album of its kind; a Halloween tale told from the voice of an authentic emcee and involving a transmedia experience. An entire universe has been created, and this chapter is the first story in the new legend of our generation.ORIGINAL TRAILER FOR THE NOBODY HOLE RELEASE, 2007:Profile Edited by MPS MySpace Editor 2.0

Influences: “We always knew that Sum Majere was talented, but it wasn’t until The Nobody Hole that we all realized that he inhabited an imaginary world of his own making. The depth of his creativity was recognized by all those in attendance the night of it’s first performance on Halloween 2006. We will most certainly look back in years to come and brag “I was there that night”, until then, this project will be ahead of it’s time. “ – Jesse Nicely, Frank151
Sounds Like: “The multimedia concept album is an idea that has traditionally been better on paper than in practice. The Nobody Hole is one of the handful that manages to turn a big idea into a big experience.” James Dunn, RIME
