THIS IS MY CURRENT 2007 MYSPACE !!

About Me

Why is everyone so afraid to just be themselves on the internet? You got to understand I am actually writing this and I will not go into the third person. See my manager is not writing this. My agent is not writing this, my record label is not writing this. If you read everything as you scroll down, it should become clear that this account is real and authentic. I know a few people do not believe me which sucks for them, but hey...thanks for stopping by.
Lenny Dee and myself (in picture) + crowd at fantazia 2007.
LONG ISLAND - FEB 17 - IT'S ON...
LOS ANGELES - FEB 24 - IT'S ON...
Music. It has been religion to me since 1977. Realized during the great Blackout of 1977 in New York City, it was my own portable 8-Track Tape stereo which entertained the neighbors. I was 8 years old. It is amazing that your whole entire future can take hold within the moments of a crisis. From that moment in July 1977 to present, I have somehow adapted to my surroundings and learned a craft that many people claim to have but simply fall short at the waist side.
This is the raw, uncut, everyday me. A picture which happened without a plan. One shot. It was not one of those "take a shot for myspace poses".
You have to realize the connection of Electronic Music to DJ Culture. Many Europeans believe what is happening today can be linked to Electronic experimentations that happened in 1916. That is simply not true. 1977 marks the 30 years since Kraftwerk released "Trans-Europe-Express", Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" and Cat Stevens "Was Dog A Doughnut". Within these three releases, Electronic Music would have its blueprint for things that were yet to come.
People always ask me what happened to the scene in America.
We still have one, it just is not as frequent.
There are many moments in time that can be used as a marker for birth of a culture. While Chicago and Detroit both play instrumental parts in House and Techno, both payed close attention to New York City. For NYC was home to the worlds largest and most popular Discotheques. Studio 54 for an example. Coming out of the Disco era in the late 70's in Brooklyn was perfect. Saturday Night Fever brought disco to the masses and Brooklyn to the spotlight.
Yeah, I know. 100,000 sold between all 6. That's all.
Not many DJ's in 2007 can connect the dots backwards to the Disco era. I hold those memories very close to the heart because I was still very young, not even in my teens. And then Grandmaster Flash releases a record that was just a bunch of records. But there was magic in all of that. It made you think that one day you might be able to do that. For me it took 7 years. I did things that I thought were not possible. And that led to doing even more impossible things. You have a dream, you make it happen. D.I.Y. Do it yourself.
All right folks, I can explain. In 1987 Lenny Dee and myself began spinning at The Wave in Staten Island. And 20 years go by and we are here in 2007 @ Fantazia. Those faces have decades of similar feelings behind them.
Where that leads us is to here and now. 2007 started off bright. I heard a track by EINMUSIK which explained that I really will see you in 2017. But whereas DJ culture has shifted into the digital realm, I'm sticking with records and when they stop making those I got 50,000 of them to keep everyone happy right until the f*cking end of time. Serato to me is like an aftermarket body part for your car. It works for you and you and you and you can be Mash-Up-Manny-Manson. I'm gonna do me so back up.
Lou don't like all the attention. But he is my favorite Joker.
Some people use the internet as a rodeo. Keyboard cowboys. Idle threats. Cheap talk. Why I frequent public chat forums on myspace and Discogs is a question I cannot answer? A lot of people like to talk a good game with no intent of playing whatsoever. I have been cyber-stalked by fans as well as fakes, phonies, imposters whatever. Don't clown yourself by clowning me. It ain't worth it. Lately I have done a few things to remind me not to get caught up in a web of nonsense. That is why my original Mixer magazine cover has been altered to say life. Because I have one when I walk away from the computer.
BK All Day. Brooklyn. It's where I am from. It's built in like Windows is to your computer. And yet me and Southern California have had this 17 year affair. And I wanted to do something most people could never do. Pack up and move to Cali. So how do I like it? I LOVE IT. Sunshine. 70 degrees. Did I mention Sunshine? F*ck where ya' from. It's where ya @! Frankie Goes To Hollywood? Relax. I'm behind the orange curtain in OC. Orange County is it's own little undoing, filled with rich brats and soccer Moms in SUV's. Someone said the only good thing about this place is living here. I can leave my doors unlocked. Crime is non-existant. Suddenly everything makes sense. I can't complain.
Mosq The Mosquito. He has been my official mascot since 1993. I got him from a friend on a late night session in Long Island at Caffeine. You know I never got into the candy raver thing but somehow I really took a liking to this sock puppet. I guess it also has to do with the fact that I take what I do so serious that I need to defuse that seriousness with stuffed muppets in the shape of mosquitoes to deflect the deep rooted connection to myself, the music and the scene.
Girls just want to have fun. If there is anything to say about relationships, being a DJ who travels makes traditional relationships nearly impossible. I'd rather see my girlfriend having fun with her girlfriends and wonder what if? At least when I find out I could pat her on the back and say "good work". "Excellent".
I have several myspace accounts. What you need to know is that this is the main one. I have lost two music accounts which have been reduced to personal profiles and an original personal profile. So yeah, I know...4 accounts. What do you want me to tell you? I'm retarded? So be it. Now I know how this about me sections work and I will spare you all the silly nonsense like: I am a trained musician in turntablism who discovered the cure for cancer. I am not. I did not. My profile reflects who I am and that is 100% Brooklyn Based. A Native New Yorker by all means. That being said I live in Southern California. Why? Because I like the weather. Damn you ask a lot of questions???

Final Thought? You know if you or me should find ourselves on the other side of life, that would be death. And nobody likes talking about death. But have you been on mydeathspace.com??? That could put things in perspective right quick. So keep in mind that if we should part, your myspace page stays. And mydeathspace.com is up in your shit before the Rigor Mortis sets in. So make sure your draws are clean and keep your myspace page tight, All Right?Frankie Bones, Raw precision from the original Brooklyn underground....2007 peace.
