Middle Aged Gone Mild

About Me

I am a DIY band from San Francisco. I am chubby, skinny, married, single, a parent, hungry, a set designer, a record distributor, a social worker, a toy seller, a rock band, punching the cheese, good at sleeping on floors and couches. Welcome to the jungle gym, baby. We have much love for these people and things: Karoline, dug, Toddles, touring, meeting people, recording with Bart Thurber, HICKEY aka Matty Luv, Aesop, Chubby & Rizzler, FUCKFACE aka Matt, Robert, John and John, the U.S. HUGS TRIAD, stinking, sleeping, healing, doing 7"s with bands we just met, penpals, iron lungs, debt, iceland, transsexuals, black metal, garlic......we'd like to meet nice people who like music, travel, stinky feet, onions, armpits and messy vans. Add me to your friends and I will bring you good luck...

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: yourmother.com/ayce/
Band Members: Devon - vocals and contortions * Danny B. - guitar and general stenches * Craigums - (wears the) bass and poot noises * Myron Seth - drums and crazy high cymbol
Influences: HICKEY, Fuckboyz, Les Is Moore, Lawnsmell, Gomez, Blownapart Bastards, Useless ID, Garlic Boys, Lurch, Liquid Courage, Legendary Lunch, Your Mother, Propagandhi, and all the bands we've yet to do splits with, MRR, Book Your Own Fucking Life, Evan Dorkin comics, Devon's address book, the Grease soundtrack, Godzilla, oh and of course - ukelele solos.
Sounds Like: You might be surprised to discover it's mostly amp buzz, and cord crackle, snare drums that sounds like someone throwing stones at a trash can lid from across a yard, vocals that sound like they were recorded from the bottom of a sheet metal pit, all that cacophany broadcast through a bank of 200 broken car speakers, recorded on a handheld cassette recorder, and then mastered to aluminum foil. All You Can Eat make The Hospitals sound like the Osmonds. There are some killer riffs, some warbly organ, some almost dubby rhythms, even some hooks, but they're all barely discernible, wrapped in sonic barbed wire, lit afire and set careening down an obstacle course of empty metal trash cans, aluminum shed siding and all matter of rusty scrap metal. Ultra chaotic and wild and scuzzy screechy blown out heavy metal blur.
Record Label: W.I.M.P Records, Little Deputy, One Foot
