1000 Lbs of Sound was formed in Amarillo, TX in the spring of 2005. Guitarist Alan Gill, drummer Lee Perez and bassist Jason Riggs come together bringing their devotion to music to create something unique and powerful. Their various heavy, trippy, groove, alternative blues styles mesh so well together creating an original sound. The driving, intense rhythm, on the spot beats and dual vocalists of the Pounds makes for an incredibly enjoyable live show that keeps the audience hooked from the first notes.
