About Me

DJ TekNik - My alter-ego as far as"electronic/techno" I've got lots of rough drafts and some semi polished remixes and original beats comin up. I know it's a far cry from my jam, blues, and reggae roots but I'm still playin lots of guitar and workin on a few different side projects and with different sounds. This site will go back to focusing on theme soon as I get the DJ Teknik page finished. For the mean time I hope ya'll dig the new stuff. Peace “It is the hour to be drunken! to escape being the martyred slaves of time, be ceaselessly drunk. On wine, on poetry, or on virtue, as you wish.” Baudelaire

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: Comming Soon
Band Members: No band right now, which is way most of my noizes of late are more computer based. My solo sound varies in genre and tends to be more abstract; When with other musicians I get more grounded and feed off the other sounds being put out around me. I love to JAM with other musicians whenever I get the chance.

Influences: Classic Rock, Reggae, Blues, Outlaw Country, Hip-Hop, Techno, and Blue Grass (which to me is like "organic techno"), & Jam Bands! The Grateful Dead! Sublime! Incubus, Benny Benassi, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, Tom Petty, The Eagles, Steely Dan, Yonder Mountain String Band, Keller Williams, Groove Armada, Gorillaz, Roni Size, Lords of Acid, Tool, Oysterhead, Phish, Eric Johnson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Willie Nelson, Johny Cash, The Beatles, Clapton, Pink Floyd, Marley, Hendrix, Joplin, Zappa, Zeplin, The Stones, CCR, Skynard, The Allmans, 1000 LBS of Sound, Nickle Creek, Modest Mouse, Spring Creek Bluegrass Band, Joni Mitchel, Nelly Fertado, and too many more to list!
Sounds Like: I like alot of different types of music. It really depends if I'm on acoustic or electric, and who I'm with or if I'm alone. My original stuff can vary alot, from outlaw-counrty/americana, & Grass Jam to trippy/ambient stuff, Reggae/Ska/ Classic Rock/Blues. I just like to jam and play whatever feels good.

Which Grateful Dead Song are You?

You are very laid back and peaceful. You enjoy music a lot, in fact, it is probably one of the biggest things in your life. While the rest of the world is in turmoil and time is flying you see beyond all of that by just laying back and listening to the music and thinking things over. You like to question lots of things and if you aren't careful, even you get caught up in the time flying just by wondering things. You have good insight on most things.... when life looks like easy street, there is danger at your door.
