Muzak, Indie film, Asian Film, Thugs on Film, Writing (both lit, music, and complex algebraic equations), Computers, helping inanimate objects accomplish tasks which would otherwise be impossible, carbon testing Xiomara to find her real age.
Unfortunately most of them are dead (not my doing)... John Lennon, Gene Roddenberry, Frank Sinatra, Alfred Hitchcock, Augustus Caesar, Leonardo DiVinci... and now for the live folks:...uhmmm, I've met them.
I don't normally post this crap here as I am a purist (minimalistic, fast loading pages... not that myspace needs anymore help being bloated), but I feel like I'm really open to just about anything these days.
More recently I've been into the Dandy's and Brian Jonestown (yes, I just watched Dig!). Catherine Wheel and NIN are in pretty constant on my playlist. I have this wierd predilection for the Dresden Dolls. I do believe that it's about time for a 311 tour through my playlist. Pearl Jam's Ten is in my list of top 10 (no pun intended, but that one was) albums of all time. I love the Robotballoons, and Sheila and the Insects... ...do me a favor and check these guys out . Let me know what you think. I'd love to get them States' Side for a tour. They may be the only ones who can convince the mighty X! to get some new Superheroes (they're imports, naturally). I also have to have my weekly dose of Pete Yorn on Saturdays.
Series flicks: Star Wars, Godfather, Kill Bill, LoTR, Ju-On, the Kevin Smith Saga, and Airplane!I like independent film, but the Sundance winners seem to keep getting excruciatingly harder to make it through. I like Anime, Asian Horror, Mindless action, and those B-movies that my sister-in-law watches are starting to grow on me.
Mystery Quote:
"Do you find me sadistic? You know, I bet I could fry an egg on your head right now, if I wanted to. You know, Kiddo, I'd like to believe that you're aware enough even now to know that there's nothing sadistic in my actions. Well, maybe towards those other... jokers, but not you. No Kiddo, at this moment, this is me at my most..."
Kill your television. It's evil and will try to eat your brain. Don't even plug a PlayStation into it. That makes it worse.
Currently in the middle of American Gods and Last of the Mohicans (which had to be put aside because Neil Gaiman is the shit). Complete Linux Administration in a Nutshell (bwaaaaaaaaahahahahahaha). Evil Geniuses, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy (yes, there are five), The Cluetrain Manifesto, Gonzo Marketing, Wired Magazine, The Dirt, The Sandman (or anything by Neil Gaiman, who is again the shit). ...and there's just too much to list!!! So bid now, I have a very low reserve and you too can enjoy my item.
Father Malone once jumped from the belltower in the middle of the night. They never found a body. I know that was him though, I could see the distant look behind his eyes that there was something about this world which disturbed him so deeply and yet, even being a man of the cloth, there was nothing he could do to stop the flood of evil which was pouring over mankind like molten iron upon the cannon-fodder which the Kings in the planetary chess games throw at their enemies. He was helpless to stop this with his frail mortal body. After that dusk when the sun set in his eyes and he had looked at me, I knew that he was going to make everything right again. That night he had become the Nigh....
...okay fine, Teachers are my heroes.
