About Me

Grace began her self-discovery through classical piano training at the age of 6 and continued for the following 10. After having explored the realm of vocal study for the past 17 years through multi-stylistic trainings, she's currently studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Her interest in cultural advancement, mind potential, and promotion of personal expression through ingenious artforms ignites the aim to inspire personal growth by being engaged in projects involving vocality, multi-instrumentalism, purposeful lyrics, poetry, music therapy, visual & performing arts...ranging from classical perspectives to underground cultural & musical scenes. The ultimate intent is to produce effective eye & ear-openers for any level of consciousness & intellect, duly underlining the axiomatic certainty of healing & instruction as crucial concepts through which any mind can be liberated from ignorance & hindrance.
Young Grace was meant to be trained at an Italian conservatory right after primary school- a highly receptive and effortless classical pianist- a wonder child or child prodigy, as some might define it. Her intellectual and artistic precociousness was also noticed by the veteran stage/screen actor/director Vittorio Gassman during the childhood quizzes she used to enjoy in his home. Not only did he encourage Grace to continue in her progresses but she was also invited to play the role of Desdemona of Shakespeare's Othello with him in a subsequent cameo recital.
The piano marked the beginning of her musical quest, but she then traded this path with vocal exploration- an activity which immensely developed her personality and allowed deeper cognizance through the observance of synergy between mind, body and performance. Deeply involved in numerous styles of chamber music and staged operettas as early as middle school, Grace toured Europe many times in classical ensembles as a main soloist (soprano, mezzo-soprano and contralto), also developing strong vocal foundations with a talented opera singer who collaborated with Karlheinz Stockhausen and Federico Fellini. Her innate versatility enabled her to connect to musicians from different backgrounds, thus resulting in collaborations, years later, with radio stations in contemporary productions and performances/recordings with local hip-hop artists/djs- her necessity for multicultural well-roundedness and personal intellectual/emotional completion always inspired her to merge the classical, jazz and urban underground scenes music/mindframes she's been exposed to. Studies in dance and countless other artistic activities satisfy other aspects of this necessity.
Concocting new artistic stylistic combinations with purpose and meaning, where imagination flows and boundaries morph into new shapes allowing an expansion of consciousness is the rationale behind Grace's musical/personal eclectic philosophy. Having been involved in a wide variety of musical genres, her ground is one in which different musical atoms interact in creative fusion and where themes, rhythmic and harmonic ideas shift and evolve, coming together into something beautiful. This exploration of music is based on a strong vein of internal introspection which reflectively creates works that encourage profound and healing soul-searching. A natural inquisitiveness sustains her awareness that originality and innovation are the most important catalysts for evolution, an idea turned into principle both in music and in life.
Music’s fluid nature gives birth to incredibly disparate musical styles and ideas and it's the musician’s purpose to direct this ever-evolving course, to guide music’s evolution in the innumerable possibilities it can vector its way through, powerfully, skillfully and with intention.
Being able to live in a world in which singing could take the place of speaking and where music would be played on every street corner may be one of Grace's childhood utopic dreams, but using the gift of creation to fulfill a way of emotional exchange that encompasses empathetic, intellectual and curative factors in an efficient avant-garde musical antidote for ignorance (the true cause of any obstructive human knot to untie) is a reality which is just around the corner. Spiritual and physical healing is an effective process at all levels and must be practiced, appropriately applied and diffused.
