Some of Thom's current favorites: the Mars Volta, Sparta, At The Drive-In, Incubus
George, Jack, and Thom agree that Grand Funk was a HUGE influence on them all.
Sounds Like: That's up to you. .... but for the sake of the almighty My Space search engine, let's just say that Annie's been told she sounds like Geddy Lee from Rush, Ann Wilson & Nancy Wilson from Heart, Joan Jett, Tori Amos, Robert Plant, and Ani Difranco. Her favorite comparison would have to be the one where somebody once said her music sounds like Olivia Newton John crossed with Led Zeppelin. Then there's that other one about how she sounds like Alice In Chains if Alice were actually Alice. The comparison with Geddy Lee always cracks her up, too. "And the men who hold high places must be the ones who start to mold a new reality...closer to the HEART!!!"
