I spend as much time as I can writing, painting, drawing, reading, working out at the gym, watching films, working on my poetry blog called "...SUPPOSED TO BE 77 WORDS OR LESS...", taking roadtrips around upstate New York and going to Manhattan, I like to camp and fish, I love music, supporting and caring for friends is very important to me, I used to illustrate a lot but not so much any more... might get into that again, working on a book of Paul Rosin's photography with collaborative writing (he and I)... Like to cook, enjoy probing conversation, love to laugh... love people with a sense of humor, love my lovely Apple computer and reading various blogs... Always trying to learn more about life every moment of every day.
I'm into people with integrity, honest people with pride yet a degree of humility, people who have passion, who want the world to be a better place, people who can keep themselves busy without feeling I have to keep them entertained. ... who look me in the eye with interest ... who turn me on to interesting things ... who have an interest in art and writing ... who laugh (a lot) ... who fight against bigotry, sexism, racism, homophobia, corporate corruption, genocide, religious intolerance, global warming, the ruin of the rain forests etc. ... who realize the valor of our troops at large and refuse to impune them for internal politics. ... who believe the world can be a far better place. ... remain cheerful rather than morose ... who have a sense of design and composition ... who appreciate beauty and the smell of fresh flowers, enjoy a good meal (or at least the attempt to make one), who are calmed by lake vistas and the sound of loons, silent snowfall the smell of a camp fire during a shower of falling stars or under the Northern Lights. ... who don't mind my smoking and high-driven nature... who like the fact that I love to make art and leave me pretty much alone when I'm doing it. ... someone who will read to me in bed and make up funny voices for all the characters. ... someone who can live without the constant drone of television but loves good film and interesting documentaries a lot. ... someone who makes love like a long, sweet, body-melding, mind-melding meditation without becoming a needy cling-on.

I canceled my cable connection because I was spending too much time watching inane bull**** when I should be working on my art, I miss PBS though and may relent and get it hooked up again... Maybe/maybe not... I listen to NPR hours each day and rent a lot of movies. 3-1-07: reconnected.... I've been watching some LOGO, National Geographic Channel, Independent Film Channel, TMC movies, PBS and CNN among other things. Haven't found myself losing space and time watching inane crap.

..Those who fight sexism, religious intolerance, homophobia, corporate/political corruption, Those who educate, Those who cure and fight disease, Those with compassion, Those who fight for a better world, those who fight global warming, who invent new engines that don't pollute, Those who grow our food, Those who make art, who write, the poets, the musicians, the playwrites, the moviemakers... who reveal the human heart and soul... who reveal the multiform human condition, mostly: PEOPLE WHO TRY TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE for future generations.... I could go on.
