Long Tall Deb and the Drifter Kings

About Me

Fast gaining a reputation as one powerhouse blues/ soul vocalist and songwriter to watch for, Deb Landolt continues to bring audiences to their knees wherever she goes. Praised by other artists, critics, and fans alike for her dynamics and technical skill, she brings a wide range of emotion and passion to her music.Growing up in El Paso, Texas, she gained an early appreciation for blues and soul and the regional folk music that would ultimately define her as an artist and performer. Deb's love for music is not so narrowly defined by one genre but rather dipped in the blues and free to roam- just like her soul. She has shared the stage with such diverse artists as Austin-based zydeco king RC Banks and the Well-Kept Secrets, Jamaican ska legends The Skatalites, Baton Rouge Bluesman Kenny Neal, and St Lucian Reggae master Deighton Charlemagne, among others. As a founding member, songwriter and lead vocalist for the Patrick McLaughlin Band (PMB), she and the group gained numerous honors among them winning the River City Ohio Blues Competition which led to a coveted finalist spot at the 2004 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Sponsored by the Blues Foundation, this event is the largest gathering of blues bands in the world. The group was 1 in 8 out of over 90 bands from as far away as Israel, Australia and Singapore. Now, Ms. Landolt is looking beyond the horizon as she launches a brand new project, "Long Tall Deb and the Drifter Kings" which will carry on her fine songwriting tradition and complement her explosive style. Ms Landolt also enjoys a collaboration with Columbus Area Blues Legends Colin John and Ray Fuller as a regular special guest with "National Debt". Stay tuned!!
