Heroes:
I don't consider them my personal heroes, but I find them very fascinating and would like to meet them.... Bill & Hilary Clinton, David Blaine, Steven Speilberg & Russell Simons And one of my favorite artists Joel-Peter Witkins.
For those of you who are not familar with his work, Joel-Peter Witkins work is inspiring, original, and creative. He deals with such themes as death, corpses (or pieces of them) and various outsiders such as dwarfs, transsexuals, hermaphrodites and physically deformed people, and delicately poses corpses and bravely naked mutants, floridly arranged in beaten-silvertone, antique nightmare-scapes. Witkins photographs are often horrific and deeply bizarre but are always beautiful. (Photo below: "Women w/ severed head" 1982)
