About Me

FREE Backgrounds

The Splitting Hares is a duo project by a husband and wife team. We have played with many other bands over the years and decided that a duo project was way long overdue. After many incarnations with other bands we decided to totally do songs that moved us in some way or just because we wanted to do them our way. We love covers. Covers are a way of paying tribute to those who have influenced us. Some are engrained into our very souls. Any one who has developed into a playing musician can relate to wanting to give back what their idols have given them. We hope that our tunes will entertain and the covers make you remember why rock-n-roll is so great. ~ Rock on~ The Splitting HaresCurrently we are in the recording process. Please bare with us while this project is under construction. The Splitting Hares Appalachia Video

Sounds Like: Whatever we come up with! Could be almost any style of music. Our CD collection and influence literally begins at "Abba" and ends at "ZZ Top" with no style or genre discriminated against. Could be an original surf song like "Eye Spy" or an experiment with a classic Beatles tune to see how it sounds rocked up. We are not looking for a specific sound - hey, we're still trying figure out how to use this recording equipment! Thanks for listening!
