The explosive mix of Hip-Hop, Ragga, Dub, Jazz, Samba, Soul, Rock and Baile Funk produced by rapper BNegão and his band, the Seletores de Frequência (”Frequency Selectors”, in portuguese language), has been making noise well beyond Brazil's borders. Since coming out with their first album "Enxugando Gelo" (Independent, 2003), the band led by the ex-Planet Hemp vocalist has already swept through Brazil's and Europe's major capitals(2004,2005 and 2006), with shows in some of these cities' most importan venues.The album,"Enxugando Gelo" was hailed by major critics as one of the best and most important of the year, garnering the Prêmio Dynamite (Brazil's foremost independent music award) in the category of best Rap /Black Music album of 2003. In 2004, BNegão won the "Orilaxé" award for "Best Black Music Vocalist” awarded by the Afro-Reggae NGO. In France, the album was chosen by journalist Daniel Brown as one of the five best in the world for 2004 after a voting campaign led by Radio France International (R.F.I.).In this next summer (2007),BNegão & os Seletores de Frequencia will back to Europe.Stay Tuned...
