Giving Artists The Support They Need!

About Me

OUT NOW

The concept is clear:

We sign new artists and give them the support they need to reach their potential. As an independent label we are able to focus our attention on our artists and their music. Since we began in 1999 we have signed Artists, performers, songwriters, production teams and studio-based bands, all of whom are distributed through Pinnacle .Concept Music was founded by Max Bloom.Max started out as a recording engineer, working for the likes of Hans Zimmer , The KLF , The Chimes and Lighthouse Family , amongst others! Followed by stints in A&R for Jive Records and Warner Bros . He has seen the industry from most perspectives, his experience, and understanding of the business ranges from engineering/mixing/producing, thru’ to A&R/contracts/publishing, to starting a record company from scratch, and everything that entails… Way too numerous to mention here!.Max is also an AIM board member (Association of Independent Music)Concept Music is run by a dedicated team of experienced music industry professionals. As well as being a conventional indie record label, Concept Music is driven by a desire to do things differently. Our artists are signed on talent and their music is nurtured and allowed to develop in a productive environment. There is no doubt that Concept Music is a small, independent label but our size means trust and integrity, as well as an attention to detail that is undoubtedly the greatest attribute we offer our artists.A shared passion for dance music led to the creation of the suSU imprint. Concentrating solely on quality underground music suSU has released records by Octave One and Masters At Work .Both Concept Music and suSU have enjoyed number one slots across international Pop, Club and Dance charts.Concept Music is proud to support Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Charity

HISTORY

Concept Music’s history has been one of steady growth punctuated by moments of unprecedented success. Our first release was Nu Generation's‘Rescue Me’ in 2000. The single reached number five in the UK charts and sold over 300,000 units. It became the 11th most played record on the UK’s airwaves that year and continued its success overseas, with releases in every territory around the world. In the following year Concept Music developed its new signings with releases from Kerphunk , Jamie Benson , Stateside Hombres and Masai . Daisy Hicks' debut album 'Mistress'‘achieved worldwide success and Concept Music revived ‘The Retrospective Series’ of compilations. 2001 was also a big year for Soda Club whose debut single went to number ten in the UK and German charts. We releasedShane Macgowan'sfirst single for over ten years, which went into the UK charts at number 16! This triggered Concept to release the ‘Ultimate Celtic’ album which has sold over 100,000 units to date. In the same year we launched the specialist dance music imprint suSU, and beat off stiff competition to sign the much-lauded punk outfit Johnny Panic . We continued our series of compilation releases with 430 West Presents......Masai and Slipmatt have both did global damage on the dancefloor in 2003 and Soda Club's ‘Heaven is a Place on Earth’ went straight in at number 13 in the UK charts.
