Dane Bowers born 29th November 1979 has music in his blood. His grandfather Ben Bowers was a singer back when big bands were in fashion. Born and raised in Croydon, Dane describes his younger self as, "A bit of a show off, the joker of the class." The desire to be centre of attention was furthered by teenage spells as a DJ, playing weekend slots at Streatham Ice Rink. "Ten pounds an hour," he says, laughing at the memory. "When you're 14, 15, that's bloody good money." His DJ father inspired Dane's antics.
At 14 Dane joined the Brit School where he met Wayne Williams then went on to meet Bobak Kianoush and Mark Baron who collectively made up the group Another Level. Dane anchored the hugely successful, and influential group who helped pave the way for british R&B bands.
Another Level had huge success with seven top ten singles in two years, including 1998's number one "Freak Me" and a platinum selling, self-titled debut album. 1999's gold-selling Nexus followed along, with Brit award nominations and a Mobo award for best single also the opening slot on Janet Jacksons European tour. During this time Dane also became a father to son Kai now 8 years old.
After the untimely break-up of Another Level Dane went solo, writing and fronting True Steppers hits ‘Buggin’ and ‘Out of Your Mind’, which featured Victoria Beckham. Then went on to do shut up and forget about it and Another Lover which reached no. 6 in the charts. Dane’s unreleased album ‘Facing the crowd’ saw Dane working with people such as Dallas Austin (TLC, Madonna) Harvey Mason (protege of super producer Rodney Jerkins), Wyclef Jean and Jerry "Wonder" Duplessis (The Fugees, Whitney Houston, Destiny's Child) all chipping in.
In the last few years Dane has done some presenting on shows such as Smash hits with Tess Daly,Pop Rivals ITV2 show, MTV select the latter attracting its biggest ever viewing figures with Dane at the helm and has popped in on shows such as Buzzcocks, Dom Joly and Fear factor to name but a few.
Dane now 26 and has continued writing and DJing throughout his time "out of the spotlight".

Made up of Dane, Danny Wood (ex-new kids on the block) Jimmy Constable (ex-911) and Bradley McIntosh (ex-S Club) They have written and released their first single THE ONE and are hoping to release an Album. .
