THE STOUTS

THE STOUTS formed in Orlando, Florida U.S.A. in 1995 and lasted in one form or another until 2000. We started the band due to a complete lack of Oi!/skinhead bands in Orlando, or anywhere in Florida during the 90's. We were well aware of the the bigger Oi!/skinhead scenes in America back then, in places such as New York, Atlanta, New Jersey, etc. So, we decided it was time to put Orlando on the Oi! map! We played numerous gigs in and around the Orlando area with bands such as RANCID, BLANKS 77, THE SKOIDATS, INSPECTOR 7, HEPCAT, and tons of local bands. Our recorded output was limited: we released a 6 song demo in 1997, had songs appear on 2 international Oi! compilations, and recorded a final demo that was never released. Due to numerous line-up changes, scene politics/ignorance, lack of venues to play, etc...the band fell apart. THE STOUTS final gig was in 1999 outside TAMPA, FL at SOUND IDEA RECORDS. An attempt to get the band back together in 2000 was brief, but in the end failed.
