The story so far....
It’s been a rollercoaster year for 4clubbers.net very own 21 year old DJ, Luke Pompey. Earning rave reviews from club promoters across the globe, promoting his own party Electro lick, DJing on Galaxy FM to over a million listeners, playing internationally across Europe, releasing his debut single "Promises", taking the North by storm and embracing Ibiza with breathtaking performances Luke is definitely one to watch!
Working alongside one of the major players in the dance music scene 4clubbers.net has seen Luke play at some of the worlds most prestigious clubs and parties such as Gatecrasher, Cream, Goodgreef, Kissdafunk, Veryverywrong Indeed, Sankeys Soap, alongside some of the worlds most prolific guest DJ’s such as Tom Novy, Paul Woolford, Jon Carter, Marco V, Axwell & Ingrosso, Trophy Twins, Micky Slim, Kate Lawler, Fedde Le Grande, Filthy Rich and the worlds biggest DJ Paul Van Dyk when 4clubbers.net hosted the Terrace at Cream Amnesia last summer.
Luke’s growing popularity is firmly forging his career as one of the UK's most in demand young DJ's, An unforgettable season in Ibiza this year saw him destroy super clubs Eden and Es Paradis for non other than Kissdafunk as well as making guest appearances at The Zoo Project and Ketoloco to name a few.
Luke's enthusiasm, professionalism and complete commitment to what he does are cementing his reputation in Leeds and the North. In an era where it is notoriously hard to stand out from the crowd Luke prides himself on his own passion and energy during his sets.
When Luke is behind the decks you know he is in control, he creates an intimacy with the crowd and tantalizes audiences with a musical master class. Luke is a born entertainer and his infectious style and finely tuned mixing is leaving every clubs dancefloors rocking!
His definitive sound can be described as pumping, abstract electronic house music.
No one can question his versatility whether he’s charging up the dance floor with driving grooves, uplifting vocals and electro sounds or creating a night of melodic minimal techno. With the use of the Pioneer EFX-1000 FX unit, CD decks, Ableton, accapellas and tools, he makes his sets completely his own, and this allows his love for music to shine through.
2007 is set to finish with an even bigger bang than it started and sees Luke continuing his residencies for Gatecrasher, Back2mine, 4clubbers.net, Goodgreef and Electro-Lick as well as exiting new ventures involving a new Residency at Manchesters finest club, Venus, DJ gigs along side both Basement Jaxx and Audio Bullies, along with plans for the studio to work on his own material, plus exciting new dates in the UK and abroad….. It's clear from the reaction he get wherever he plays that Luke is destined to be one of the industrys major players!
