Der Grundstein der Dragonlords wurde am 21.01.2003 von Sebastian und Markus gelegt. Ihrem Entschluss zur Gründung einer Melodic Power Metal Band folgten alsbald Taten, sodass nur zwei Monate später die erste Probe stattfinden konnte. Ende des Jahres 2003 trennten sich jedoch viele Wege der Bandmitglieder und es kehrte eine Zeit der Ruhe ein.
Am 20.05.2004 entstand dann ein neues Lineup, mit dem die Dragonlords nun als Fantasy Black Metal Band zu neuem Leben erwachten. Doch auch dieses Lineup musste einige Musikerwechsel hinnehmen. Am 27.05.2006 wurde dann schließlich ein festes Lineup bestätigt, welches nur noch einen festen Keyboarder benötigt. Nichtsdestotrotz konnten die Dragonlords am 14.07.2006 Ihre Konzert-Premiere in Ober-Ramstadt mit einem vollen Erfolg feiern.
Kurz drauf entfachte eine heitere Diskussion darüber, welche Musik die Dragonlords nun machen. Da alle bekannten Stilrichtungen wie Fantasy Black oder Viking nicht komplett zutreffend sind, wurde kurzerhand der Dragonian Metal begründet. ;)

The basis for the Dragonlords was built by Sebastian and Markus on January 21st in the year 2003. Their decision to start with a melodic power metal band was followed by doings soon. So just two months later the first session took place. But at the end of the year most of the musicians walked their own way and a time of quietness began.
On May 20th 2004 a new lineup was found and the Dragonlords came to life again as a Fantasy Black Metal Band. But this lineup suffered from several changes, too. Only since May 27th 2006 the manning has been complete – except an keyboard player, who is still missing. None the less the Dragonlords celebrated their live premiere on July 14th 2006 in Ober-Rahmstadt with full success.
Little time ago a discussion began, what kind of music the Dragonlords actually play. For every existing styles like Fantasy Black or Viking Metal don’t fit exactly, without further ado Dragonian Metal was invented. ;)
