About Me

Unk! was formed in 2001 by 3 guys who already had lives behind them in other Rock, Punk or Metal bands. Their aim was to do something a bit different and to try and find a personal style. Their music combines dance rhythms (techno, trance, jungle, etc. with rock song structures and Metalesque guitars spiced with pop, rock & metal vocals. You could call this hybrid music 'dance metal' or 'electro dance rock' (depending on "the percentage of metal" in a given song). They released their first CD in 2003, but decided to distribute their music for free, and so the CD was put online as a free download, including the CD artwork. A video clip followed a year later and appeared on national Belgian music television despite its low budget nature. The videoclip as well as the first CD can still be downloaded on the band's website. A second CD appears in early 2007, as a free download as well and a second videoclip is underway.
