I am a sponsor child through an organization called World Vision. What that means is that someone in North America has decided to give up about a dollar a day in order for me to receive the basic necessities of life.
This myspace page was designed by the band Kiros (www.myspace.com/Kiros). They are my sponsors, providing myself and my family with the resources to build a sustainable future. Their monthly donation through World Vision allows me to go to school, have food to eat, have clean water to drink, and have decent clothes to wear.
The simple truth is that every single day, 30 000 children around the world die because of hunger and preventable diseases. In fact, by the time you have read this message about 35 kids will have died from such causes.
This page was not created to bring you down, but to tell you that YOU can make a real difference in a child’s life. I’m not asking you to solve the world’s problems, but you can make a world of difference for one child’s life today.
The simple question you have to ask yourself is this... What’s more valuable: a young child's life or a can of pop? They cost the same per day.

Here’s how it works:
At the top of the page, you will find links that you can click that will get you started on your own child sponsorship. If you feel sponsoring a child is too big of a commitment, find a friend or two to help sponsor that kid with you.
Upon sponsorship, you will be able to write letters back and forth with your sponsor child. You will get updated pictures of your child as they grow. World Vision will send your progress reports informing you of your child’s improving condition. You truly become involved in the life of the most grateful person that you will ever know.
