About Me

Hi, I'm Sara! It's pronounced S-air-a and not S-ah-ra by the way and, no, I don't like it when people get it wrong! Even now I still have arguments with people about my name - FFS!!! I DO know how to spell and pronounce my own name you know! - rant over.I qualified as a Legal Executive in November 2007 and am working and living in Brighton.I think that Brighton is my spiritual home and if I were to leave, they may just have to drag me kicking and screaming!!!I like to go out to local rock clubs and gigs but don't seem to go out nearly as much as I used to. I have definitely found that I actually enjoy staying in as much as I like going out these days - which is sad and, yes, I feel pretty guilty about it (sometimes!)If you want to know anything else, you'll just have to ask me ...

My Interests

I am heavily into music. Not just any music, however. In order for me to really enjoy myself, I need to be able to dance to it and/or bang my head HARD! ;o) See the list below to see my current faves.I also like to read a lot, mess around with my laptop, and do as little work as possible (not possible, unfortunately).I have recently got into ballet and have just started my Grade 3. I know i'm a late starter but I absolutely love it.

Music:

My current and past favourites are: Faith No More, Killswitch Engage, Incubus, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Breed 77, Machine Head, System of A Down, Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Skindred, Skunk Anansie, Jeff Buckley, Alice in Chains, Red Hot Chili Peppers, EMF, Garbage, Therapy?, Queens of the Stone Age, The Cure, Fear Factory, Muse and loads of others I may add later. A very eclectic mix, I am sure you will agree!

Movies:

Like my music tastes, I also have vastly differing tastes when it comes to movies. Ones I can think of off the top of my head are: The Matrix, Blade, The Lost Boys, Dogma, Mallrats, Donnie Darko. Then comes all of the girlie films like The Princess Bride, Serendipity, She's All That, 50 First Dates, Mona Lisa Smile, Save the Last Dance, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles (in fact most John Hughes films), Strictly Ballroom. See what I mean? ...

Television:

I love Buffy and Angel!!! There, I've said it! I also like Friends, Dexter, Charmed, One Tree Hill (recently got addicted) Supernatural, Spaced, Little Britain, Lost, Gray's Anatomy, Hex, Heroes, CSI etc etc etc. Will add more when I think of them.I am also pretty partial to some older tv - like The Prisoner, The Champions, The Avengers, Sapphire & Steel. I don't seem to watch them as much as I used to though. Finally, I also like old kids' programmes such as Bagpuss, The Flumps, Count Duckula, Knightmare, Mr Benn ...

Books:

My taste in books is as weird as my taste in films. I love Robert Rankin (and in fact know him in person and he is the sweetest guy you could ever meet), Anne Rice and a lot of other sci-fi/fantasy writers but, on the other hand, one of the best ways for me to escape the world and let my brain rest is by reading all the silly girly books - I love them ... maybe i'm addicted!

Heroes:

Mike Patton, Johnny Depp, Patrick McGoohan
