On a whose who website for bands, it said of The Last Cry " The Last Cry are the biggest goth band you've never heard of ", well thats about to change. They are currently putting the fininishing touches to a very long awaited album, which they are producing themselves.
With the departure of their singer and guitarist 2 years ago, they finally decided after countless auditions they should do it all themselves, now as a 3 piece they finally got it right.
With Mr A (ex drums) taking over on vocals and Tim (ex keyboards) taking over on guitar and Chris on bass they've spent a long time re-learning how to play and sing the songs, then on top of that learning how to use their own studio.
There is an understanding between the 3 of them that has made the writing and recording process together so much easier.
With the drums and keyboards now on a backing track, the band have started playing live again, The Last Cry were always a good " live" band, and creating a backing track that captured that " feel " was very important to them.
So its been a busy time for the band, and hopefully soon with the completion of the album, there should be plenty of chances to see them live around the country.
They have had the pleasure to play with The Mission, All About Eve, Skeletal Family, The Damned' and Gene Loves Jezebel to name a few.
