However as times change, the internet has almost taken over nightclubs and youth clubs for methods of meeting people and the fish pond is now the ocean! Here are some safety tips: **NEVER MEET SOMEONE OFF THE INTERNET ALONE**ALWAYS TELL SOMEONE ELSE WHERE YOU ARE GOING, PREFERABLY AN ADULT OR OLDER SIBLING***** IF POSSIBLE TAKE YOUR PHONE AND HAVE IT ON!*****ONLY EVER MEET PEOPLE IN A PUBLIC PLACE, PREFERABLY IN DAYLIGHT***NEVER EVER TELL ANYONE WHERE YOU LIVE IN A PUBLIC FORUM AND CERTAINLY DO NOT GIVE OUT INFORMATION LIKE SURNAME, DATE OF BIRTH OR PHONE NUMBERS...EVEN IF YOU THINK THEY HAVE GIVEN YOU THEIR'S*** ****************************************************BASICS FOR YOUNGER USERS:***The internet is full of information some of it you do not need and can be damaging to you if you take it in. Learn how to choose your site from a search engine, if it is not what you are looking for go back and go to another choice. Just because you typed in 'babe' doesn't mean you will get innocent baby pictures and stories about a pig! You will probably end up with a lot of undesirable sites so choose carefully and be 'Netwise'!ONE MORE THING...If you're not sure, tell or ask someone about it!
