To be honest my purpose for being on here is to meet exciting, interesting positive people and promote my new businesses to people that love art, design, music, fashion, parties and life. I’m not here for dating, relationships or cyber sex purposes but simply to meet open minded creative people.
I truly love my life and I am living the life that I want to live right now. That doesn’t mean that I don’t want to achieve more because I still have dozens of goals to achieve, yet it’s not the achievement of these goals that gives me happiness, it is the person that I have become in order to be able to achieve those goals and the way that I interact with everyone around me that gives me real happiness.
I get people saying that I’m very lucky but I do not believe in luck. (I believe in probability, cause and effect and polarity) I think good and bad experiences happen to everyone on the planet and it’s how you deal with those experiences that determine your position in life. I know millionaires who are unhappy and even some that are hooked on drugs, abuse their bodies, spouses, and people around them and yet I know people with disabilities or extreme challenges in life that still manage to make the most out of what they have and count each day as a blessing. I think that luck is simply an interpretation of a given event or circumstances that is given meaning by your state of mind. So with that said each I see each and every day as a gift that must be lived to the fullest and I really do.
I keep very fit and have been doing martial arts since I was 8 years old. I don’t get in fights anymore as sometimes the bravest thing you can do is say I’m sorry, back down or make the other person feel important, then again other times you need to kick ass. I have a gym weights setup in my house so I find it easy to work out a lot as well.
I love going out and meeting people and always end up bumping into interesting people wherever I go. It could be a members bar in Mayfair, a club in Farringdon, a cool haunt in Hoxton, a quiet coffee shop in Soho or a chic bookshop in Covent Garden, I always seem to meet great people and have incredible experience’s that you wouldn’t believe unless you were there to witness it. All I can say is that I find that most people are amazingly kind and generous and I’ve found that people will respond to you by the energy that you put out. I love London because we get so many different types of people from all over the World. I have friends from all over the world and that gives me a great perspective in life. I have friends from every single ethnic background and culture that you can imagine, some are rich, some aren’t rich, and some are cool. Some aren’t, some are funny, and some aren’t. I don’t judge anyone even if they do not share the same beliefs about life as me or not I just accept them as living in their own reality and I see things from an empathetic perspective without becoming attached to their point of view.
BUSINESS / PLEASURE
After studying Art, Photography, Illustration, Typography, Art history, Product and Graphic design, and fashion for over 6 years which climaxed at Ravensbourne college (which at that time was the most difficult design establishment to get into in Britain, even above the London institute places like St Martins, Camberwell, LCP, Chelsea etc....) I started in the design industry working on artwork and designs for major record labels like BMG and smaller more creative independent labels, entertainment game companies like Sega and Hasbro, and high profile film projects for UIP, Intermedia, and Pathe. My first film project was to design Official website for the Oscar winning movie American Beauty and even though I had no idea of how big the film was going to be it launched my career for the better very quickly. So after a while more successful campaigns for films such as Sleepy Hollow, Gladiator, Stigmata, Chicken Run, film festivals, advanced screenings and movie premieres I moved into the world of design and advertising and worked with created award winning campaigns with huge brands and agencies like Lowe Lintas, TBWA/GGT whilst receiving praise throughout the design industry.
In 2001 I started my first proper company Anisometric (the car washing business when I was 9 doesn’t really count) and it’s still going strong and have worked with some of the greatest brands in the world today from Sony Ericsson, Adidas, Coca Cola, Harrods, BMG, Polydor, London College of Fashion, Playstation, Virgin, FHM, and many more, and more importantly created some of the most stunning and beautiful creations for those and other brands.
Now I’m involved in a number of businesses, some I started, some I have invested in, some I have created the brand and hold intellectual property rights to, and some I mentor, they range from magazines to young and established designers, to virtual online 3d communities, technical stock market trading based businesses, information and personal development based and so on.
I also currently provide consultancy for medium to large sized companies and individuals looking to make more money, increase productivity, enhance design aesthetics, improve brand perception, or simply make the most out of their potential.
I am currently writing a number of books that will be available soon so if you like the subjects that I speak interest me like art, design, fashion, wealth, business, psychology, motivation, success, then you’ll want to check out my forthcoming material.
FASHION
Fashion is one of my passions and I think it started when I began modelling in my late teens, a whole new world opened up to and experienced some of the most amazing times of my life. Now I still do photo shoots and events but to be honest I’m much more interested in sleeping with female models than being in shoots myself right now. I recently started a fashion label and the first collection completely sold out within a few weeks of launch and that was incredible. A new collection will be available for sale online and in selected stockists in London. A great deal of the design and art that myself and my businesses are involved in now relates to the fashion industry in some form and it’s great to have the unique perspective of working in front and behind the camera.
Imminently at http://www.anisometric-inc.com we will be interviewing leading designers, photographers and entrepreneurs in the world today for our subscribers and members. All within creative industries and many will be within the fashion industry so check it out and have a look and if interested leave your email and someone will be in touch rapidly with more information. Also have a look if you are interested in fashion related art or design because they are available now also at our new online store.
MUSIC
Music is my life and I cannot last for very long without listening to some form of music. The amount of money I spend on music is joke. I have piles and piles and shelves of vinyl everywhere, draws, racks, and cupboards full of CDs, piles of tape cassettes, 3 ipods and an Apple laptop full of beats and I just can’t stop, I am a music junkie but I love it.For the kinds of music I like check out the music panel to the left. To be honest though I just like good music, sometimes when you try to define something and place it in a category you trivialise it. I’ve been Djing since I was about 10 when I placed that Maxi Priest track “In the springtime†on my dads pioneer turntables, I inherited a load of old Reggae, Jazz, funk, and soul from my old man who had a huge vinyl collection and it’s great because I appreciate the old classics as well as the new music now. You’ll soon be able to catch me out Djing if you are in London at one of our exclusive events.
My current top beats, not in any particular order
1. Tiombe Lockhart – “G.Pâ€
2. Deetron ft Ovasoul 7 - “I Clingâ€
3. Surra – “Dutty skanker2â€
4. Franck Roger - “Marecageâ€
5. Breakthrough ft Bembe Segue - “Green Like the Sunâ€
6. Dr Evil - “Stamina manâ€
7. Vybz Kartel Blueebooth riddim– “Tekâ€
8. (Wahoo mix) Ben Westbeech “Hang Aroundâ€
9. Jazztronik – “Song of bebeâ€
10. Kenny Dope “The psyche outâ€
11. Scienz Culture (SON OF SCIENTIST BRUK MIX) “GINSUâ€
12. Patrice Scott “Beyond deepâ€
13. Natya (WAH SYNDICATE RMX) “Real high"
14. Black Pocket “The Roadâ€
15. CARVAJAL feat Swaylo “you remind meâ€
That’s what I’m feeling now. That’s why when people say to me what music do you Dj? I just say you have to listen because you can’t put that music into one category. I just call it good music.
ETHOS
Like I said before my life is fantastic, it hasn’t always been like this though. My life started changing for the better when I started changing for the better. I started doing weights, eating properly, gave up blaming people and making excuses for my failures, started getting rid of envious people around me and replacing them with positive successful ones, started working harder, reading more, relaxing and chilling out once in a while. I believe that we all become what we think about and if whatever you focus on in life you’ll simply get more of it. Yes there are loads of people that want screw me over, that are jealous, that see me as a threat to themselves and their girlfriends, that want to test me to prove they are better than me at something, that want to see me fall on my face and lose everything, yet the best I deal with those people is to be even more successful and that will cut them deeper than anything else you could do and to be honest their insecurities are their problems and only become yours if you let them get to you. I believe that every resistance is an assistance as long as I don’t let it stop me from getting to where I want to go.
So although I’m very active and go out every day I make sure that I read at least 2 books every week in the areas that I want to achieve mastery in. I know many of you may think that reading is boring and the funny thing is that I thought exactly the same way. Before I was 24 I had only read about 5 books in my life and (that was only because I had to for school), now I’ve read over 800. It’s funny how I see the same thing differently once my perspective changes. It has made an astronomical difference in the amount of money, relationships, friends, experiences, philosophy, and interactions that occur in my life. Now the point is not to read loads of books, I know people that are extremely intelligent but they know too much to make themselves successful. They think too much and become trapped by their own wisdom. I call it paralysis by analysis. So for me it’s just about getting the goals that you want to get the best and most fun way that you can.
If you speak to anyone that knows me they’ll probably say one of three things, they’ll say I’m the most positive influential person they know or that I’m a pisstaking arrogant b**stard or that I’m so quiet and aloof, I suppose all three are true. It all depends on what the situation you find me in. Sometimes I offend people because I take jokes too far and other times I offend people because I ignore them and don’t pay them enough attention.
I’m a possibility person and believe there is no limit on what I can do which is why I do so much and so many different things. A lot of people say to me that you shouldn’t set your targets high because if you don’t get them then you won’t be disappointed, I reckon that’s a load of crap, and unless you set your targets high you’ll never know what you really can do.
If you would have asked me a few years ago what’s the most important thing in your life, I would have simply said to be healthy and happy. Now my answer has changed slightly, now the most important thing for me is what Abraham Maslow calls Self-actualisation, and that is simply to be the best that I can be mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially. I’m always busy and usually work 16-18 hours every day, none of it seems like work though because I designed my life how I wanted it to be now.
But before I go I just want to say feel free to have a look at some work, check out any events, parties, or promotions coming up, buy as many pieces as you want to, leave a comment, send a mail, advertise yourself, product, or brand and until we speak again bye for now.
A BIG THANKS YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS PURCHASED PIECES AND JOINED UP AS MEMBERS SO FAR. WE NEVER IMAGINED WORD WOULD SPREAD THIS RAPIDLY BUT WE ARE HAPPY SO THANK YOU!
Bri.
