HIP HOP AIN'T DEAD!

About Me

Dieselino is that kid who spits gasoline, hence the name DIESELINO! He grew up in border-lining neighborhoods of 2 historical sectors of San Francisco, The FILLMORE, and the HAIGHT/ASHBURY DISTRICTS where his adolescent years were spent playing sports, excelling in academics, and listening to all types of music. By participating in productive activities, it kept the modest, bi-polar young man out of trouble. He first got into rap music after hearing of a uniquely-titled band by the name of RUN-DMC..Soonafter, a song titled "You Be Illin" would become his favorite song...time passed and the young Dieselino began to develop an appetite for other genres of music as well, including 80's pop, r&b, and oldies. Bay Area, East Coast and Southern California Gangsta Rap influenced his urge to want to do rap music himself. He and his younger brother would soon begin to record themselves on a tape player and a home-karaoke microphone... Mimicking the popular rappers' images, voices, and subject matter enabled him to display a certain range when making his own music. As years passed, he developed his own persona and style, but as u know, ALL new-school rappers learned from those who paved the way for us. However, back then his favorite rappers included M.C. Hammer, Naughty By Nature, NWA, Too Short, Digital Underground, D-Nice, Chub Rock, Public Enemy and LL COOL J, but when u listen to his music, he doesn't necessarily sound like any of these MC legends!Dieselino aims to be a powerful force in the industry by not only representing his Bay Area and California roots, but also reaching out and collaborating with legends in all genres of music, as well as lesser known, talented artist so that they may eat too, ya dig? This first album that is currently being worked on is all written by Dieselino himself, on all original beats from various Bay Area producers. So when you listen to the album it's gonna have so many different sounds and emotions so the whole album doesn't sound the same. We believe in bringing up artists that people have never really heard of until now. Now don't get it twisted, just because you never heard of these people before doesn't mean that it ain't any good. All four of the songs have never been touched once we recorded. They still need to go to the lab and get mastered. We just want people to hear what we're comin with. So they might sound a little raw but that'll all change. Please visit frequently for changes, adds-ons, and updates regarding DIESELINO!!
