They are waiting to take us into
the severed garden
Do you know how pale & wanton thrillful
comes death on a strange hour
unannounced, unplanned for
like a scaring over-friendly guest you've
brought to bed
Death makes angels of us all
& gives us wings
where we had shoulders
smooth as raven's
claws -
JIM MORRISON

We're like actors, turned loose in this world to wander in search of a phantom, endlesly searching for a half formed shadow of our lost reality.
When others demand that we become the people they want us to be, they force us to destroy the person we really are.
It's a subtle kind of murder. The most loving parents and relatives commit this murder with smiles on their faces.
- JIM MORRISON

This is the end my friend, no safety or suprise, the end, I'll never look into your eyes again...

I'm very intense, insane and passionate about life and my friends and families lives, which is probably why I did so well at The Waterfront Theatre School, I was a student there for two years.
I'm also very passionate and intense about right and wrong, about sport, (I scream at my tv during Formula 1 Grand Prix races, have screamed during World Cup cricket matches and World Cup rugby games), can get very worked up about world politics, but am not a political person, and most of the time I always root for the underdog.
I have a bad habit of taking on my friends and families negative emotions, trying to deal with them and my own negative emotions, it gets a bit much! Which is why I love laughing alot, being light hearted from time to time, it takes some of those burdens away! Another good way of releasing is to express my emotions by writing down random thoughts and I follow on with them, see where my mind takes me. I also write alot of poetry, although lately, not too much, most of my work was in 1997/1998 and a lot of it was too sentimental, but some stuff was good. I have a blog on here and one that there is a link to at the top of the page (if it says can't connect, try again, it will connect 2nd time)(yes, it does say SAMMIE on the blog, you are at the correct place! and it is me!) !
Life's been difficult and life's been beautiful..I see things differently to other people. I strongly believe in karma, I believe in reincarnation. I'm very into astrology (not daily horoscopes - that's just bullshit!)...the way the world is going to end/change as we know it, and global warming and the way almost everyone is ignoring and doing nothing about what will eventually kill us,(unless some mad, fanatical power hungry idiot nukes us all first), saddens me.
I'm a free spirit, nothing ties me down, and most people just can't figure me out, as much as they try, (alot of the time I feel misunderstood because of this, but I'm not one to wallow in self pity), I'm a bit of a loner and like it that way. I have a huge issue with trust, dating way back to 1997, and I constantly 'test' that trust within a friendship which can truly be annoying, but once a bond is formed and trust developed, our friendship will be for life.
I can be very moody, tempremental...I'm a nonconformist and I'm very unconventional...I don't follow the status quo. I can never keep my mouth shut, which lands me into trouble alot of the time! People just can't seem to figure out if I'm being serious or joking around.
I'll know in an instant if I'll like you/get on with you or not.
I can't stand snobs or people who pretend to be something they aren't. Just be yourself and if I still don't like you, there are lots of people out there who will. It's tougher on the internet .. to figure out whether I'll like you or not, but just looking and reading a profile gives me a vibe, and I'll know. I've been wrong more than a few times - people wear masks and are unpredictable and Life isn't foolproof.
I love movies and music, without them life would be so dull.
Good friends are difficult to find too, so when I find one, I cherish that friendship, provided we both love, cherish and can totally be ourselves within the friendship, no matter how smooth or rocky things go.
I have no respect nor time for people on power trips or think they are better than anyone else. I also don't care how much money you make/have, even more so if you flaunt it. I care what type of person you are , not what is in your bank account. Showy, flashy rich people just annoy me! I would have more respect if you had money and didn't use it as a way of enticing people to like you.
Arrogance doesn't turn me on, it pisses me off, but self confidence and knowing exactly who you are and knowing exactly where you are going in life is great...it's the total opposite to me!! :P
I love animals and have four beautiful cats that you can see on my slide show or in my pictures directory.
I don't play by the rules..."It's My Life!" - (Bon Jovi)
I PREFER...
Love the sea breeze on my face, the smell of rain, the sound of thunder, scared of lightning, prefer night to day, coke to water, bath to shower, intelligent to beautiful, passionate to indifference, Shaun Pollock to Graeme Smith, The Stormers to the rest of the Super 14, Kimi Raikkonen to Fernando Alonso, Thabo Mbeki to George Bush!
Prefer long hair to short, straight hair to curly hair, eyes to hands, love to hate, peace to war, cats to dogs, vampires to monsters, Leo DiCaprio to Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston to Angelina Jolie, tattoos to piercings, fake or no flowers to fresh cut flowers, black to white, Matt Damon to Ben Affleck (without a doubt! *yuck*!), cash to plastic, good memories rather than bad friends.
Prefer Patricia Kennealy Morrison to Pamela Courson Morrison, incense to air freshner, perfume shopping to clothes shopping, to relax at home than partying into the wee hours of the morning, prefer photographs that you can hold rather than digital ones, prefer my trusty old pen and paper rather than typing my work directly onto pc, prefer democracy to dictatorship....
..

My Interests

I'm wanted...dead or alive...

I think there's a whole region of
images and feelings inside us that
rarely are given outlet in daily life
And when they do come out, they can take
perverse forms. It's the dark side.
Everyone, when he sees it, recognizes the
same thing in himself. It's a recognition
of forces that rarely see the light of day.
The more civilized we get on the surface,
the more the other forces make their plea.

I hope you went out
smiling
like a child
into the cool remnant
of a dream...

WHERE ANGELS LEAD YOU IN (A Beautiful Tribute to Jim)

TO PAMELA SUSAN - MY IMMORTAL BY EVANESCENCE

KIMI RAIKKONEN

One of my huge passions is sport. South Africans are sports crazy, it unites our nation. especially when we are playing international games! We do also play domestic leagues, but nothing's better than the best thing - The Test Matches or One Day International's or Kimi Rakikkonen(above) winning his first Grand Prix Championship! I was ecstatic

I still don't have words to say about us winning the Webb Ellis Trophy over England in the final in France on 20th October 2007 in the IRB World Cup.
We'd last won the Cup in 1995 when we hosted the tournament.

Most of the cricketers I grew up watching have retired and moved on by now and I don't watch as religiously as I used.
The politics behind South African cricket turns the players into puppets, unable to control their own fate. There are many players in the team who have been selected on a colour basis and not due to merit. (it's called 'the quota system')
Up until now there was been little if not any politics in SA Rugby and the team selected are done so on merit.
My heart bleeds for Jake White, our rugby coach who is leaving us at the end of December, he was an integral part of us winning the World Cup. I wish him well, but most of all, I wish he'd reconsider!

Formula one is for junkies with a need for speed...it's unusual for someone who can't drive to love the sport as much as I do.
For me, it's never been about the car, it's about the driver and his skills, after all, that's what it comes down to - it's the car you're given which will determine between success and failure.
Put Kimi into a Torro Roso and let's see what he can do!
Even back in the days when the championship fight was Schumacher and Coulthard, I supported Coulthard, but I could never hate Schumacher, there was just something about him...his retirement has been the saddest thing in motorsport history in a very very long time.

The picture below is of Daryll Cullinan, one of the best and classist batsmen South Africa has ever produced.

Movies:

I HATED 'The Doors' movie - no one watching even gave a damn that the guy lying in the bath tub at the end of the movie, was dead. The director,Oliver Stone missed the 60's, he was fighting in Vietnam, so he re-created what he'd missed, it was his wettest dream and had very little to do with Jim Morrison or The Doors. Val Kilmer, who played Jim looked freakishly like him though!
Holding onto my childhood memories, the 'Back To The Future' trilogy would have to top my list even though I am not much of a sci-fi fan.
A Few Good Men, The Boondock Saints, The Notebook, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, The Prince and Me, Closer,Good Will Hunting, The Departed, Braveheart, The Bourne Identity (both), Titanic,Pearl Harbor, , The Score, American History X , Sleepers, Ransom, Interview With The Vampire, Cocktail, Taking Lives, The Breakfast Club, Romeo + Juliet (Leonardo DiCaprio & Clare Danes), Beautiful Mind, 8 Mile, The Aviator, Powder,How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, The Man in the Iron Mask, Blood Diamond
MATT DAMON

Television:

24, Prison Break, ER, All the CSI's, Smallville, Desperate Housewives, Everwood, Friends, Two and A Half Men, Without A Trace, some reality shows (I love Idols!)

Books:

I mainly only read biographical, autobiographical and poetry journals. On the odd occasion you'll find me reading self help books, or 'new age' books, like books on crystals and tarot and things like that.

Michael J Fox's memoirs, 'Lucky Man' which he published after he announced that he had Parkinson's Disease, is to date the most amazing book I have ever read.

"If you were to rush in to this room right now and announce that you had struck a deal - with God, Allah, Buddha, Christ, Krishna, Bill Gates, whoever - in which the ten years since my diagnosis could be magically taken away, traded in for ten more years as the person I was before, I would, without a moment's hesitation, tell you to take a hike."

Michael J Fox

Heroes:

br
James Douglas Morrison - 8 December 1943 - 3 July 1971 - frontman and lead singer of 'The Doors'...I live for him, I breathe for him and I wonder what it would be like if he were alive today, but then he wouldn't be 'JIM MORRISON', the shamanistic yet troubled, haunted, lonely, misunderstood and out of control soul that he was.
He did more, saw more and lived more in his 27 years than most of us will ever do in our lifetime.
Everything he did in his life was in excess, he didn't believe in boundaries and he pushed boundaries that did exist in life further than anybody dared to...trying to expand peoples' conciousness...make us see the things the way he did...or just for the fuck of it.
Jim lived on a spiritual plane where no one could quite reach him.
He had a morbid fascination with death, and it came out in many of his songs and poetry, and after Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix died (both OD's), Jim used to say "You're drinking with number three." At the time, I doubt you could find a better alcoholic than Jim, but a junkie he was not - Jim had an INTENSE fear of needles.
I suppose to most, Jim is just another dead rock star who did too many drugs and died as a result of it - in simple terms that is very true....but they've never discovered the magic, the sheer power, the absolute genius of the man who in all truth WAS 'The Doors', the man behind the music, the sensitive poet who created his own fame and then spent the rest of his life trying to run from it...the man who got too tired to live anymore. His journey was really over. He'd done what he'd come here to do and "when the music's over, turn out the lights..."
But 35 years later, the musics still playing and the lights are still on...
Jim moved to Paris in April 1971, to work on his poetry. Pamela was a herion addict and knew Jim hated the drug to such an extent that he didn't even want it kept in the apartment they lived in. There was herion on Pam's dresser table and Pam told Jim it was cocaine, snorting it, he immediately grabbed hold of his chest, fell forward and died.(Alcohol and heroin combined are lethal). Pamela and her friends put him in a warm bath in order to keep his body temperature up so as to fool dr's about the time of his death. Jim was found by the authorities, blood trickling from his nose and his death was ruled as cardiac arrest, he was 27. No autopsy was done. Jim's body was seen by only two people, the attending dr and Pamela. The coffin was sealed by the time Bill Siddons, the manager of 'The Doors' arrived in Paris - all this fuels the mysterious circumstances behind 'the death of Jim Morrison'.
Jim is buried at Pere' Lachaise cemetary in Paris.
There are MANY versions as to how he died and if he even is dead! I've typed what I believe. And I accept what anyone else may believe, no one really knows what happened to Jim or how he really died, you've just got to pick your truth. However, I don't buy into conspiracy therories that he's still alive, as compelling as they may be...if he were still alive we would have heard from Mr Mojo Risin' by now...
He lives on through us, though his genius, his music and his poetry.
In his own words - "No One Here Gets Out Alive......not even Jim.
