IVAW DEPLOYED

I am here for Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

IVAWdeployed.org The bus crew consists of 5 to 6 members at any given time who are dedicated to ending what is well known to be an illegal occupation of a sovereign state. We've worked hard, not just the people on the bus but everyone who's had a part in influencing our direction, for better, or at times, worse. All we want is for the occupation to end, starting with: Immediate withdrawal of all occupying forces in Iraq; Reparations for the destruction and corporate pillaging of Iraq so that ordinary Iraqi people can control their own lives and future; and Full benefits, adequate healthcare (including mental health), and other supports for returning servicemen and women.

My Interests

Immediate withdrawal of all occupying forces in Iraq; Reparations for the destruction and corporate pillaging of Iraq so that ordinary Iraqi people can control their own lives and future; and Full benefits, adequate healthcare (including mental health), and other supports for returning servicemen and women. We also like a wide variety of media, whether it is political in nature or not is really no concern.

I'd like to meet:

Any Iraq War era veterans who notice and realize that something is very wrong with the occupation we've partaken in. If you've had an experience with the military that you're not comfortable with or if you're currently experiencing just that, this is an avenue for you to share your discomfort with people that will listen and attempt to assist you in whatever way possible as long as it's within our means. You can start by sending the bus a message if you like. Tell us how you feel about this war.

Music:

Yes, it's an interest.

Movies:

This as well.

Television:

Curb your enthusiasm, C-Span, some cartoons are cool, War&Peace Report w/ Amy Goodman, Patty Duke was kind of cool.

Books:

Hegemony or Survival, The Grand Chessboard, Nuclear Weapons and Foreign Policy by the war criminal Henry Kissinger, The God of Small Things, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Shakespeare, Saul Williams, David Sedaris, A Hope in the Dark, The Bu$h Agenda, thelistgoeson....

Heroes:

All of you who've stepped up already, and those of you who need to give it more thought. Much respect for all involved.

My Blog

First blog.

So this is the bus blog; we're all doing well.  A bit stressed out trying to organize and streamline the process of keeping things up to date.  Overall, we're pleased with what's happened so...
