The Basement Project

The Basement Project is a solo act fronted by Kevin Chamberlain. This is a project that had been in the works for years but was officially brought to the live performance floor in the spring of 2004. The debut EP was recorded in his own studio over the summer months of 2004. The record is described as "melancholic pop for hippies", "dark & moody", "a little indie symphony", and "it's not typical but serves an equal purpose to anything else that is out there right now" (garageband.com). The record consists of Kevin playing a variety of different instruments such as guitars, percussion, dejembe, and electronic synthesis. He currently performs in the London, Guelph, Kitchener, Fergus, and Elora areas but is looking to expand into other cities. The focus is now on writing and recording a new full length record.
