Holly Akimow is a singer/songwriter in Toronto, Ontario. Hailing from the massive town of Cobourg, she started writing by age 10 but it wasn't until 8 years later that anyone ever heard anything. Threatened by a friend that he would destroy her if she didn't use her voice, Holly got to work and started singing up a storm. In the following five years, three full-length albums were unleashed and she's only just begun. Her first album, Falling, sold 500 copies through word of mouth and her fan base continues to grow. While studying music at University and College in London Ontario, Holly poked her way into performing, making appearances at GT's, The Outback Shack, The Spoke, Rose & Crown, The Salt Lounge and was showcased on both UWO and Fanshawe's radio stations. She has started creeping into Toronto venues, with her first gig performing alongside fellow-Canadians Serena Ryder and Hill, and her second as a guest on Songwriter's Central at C'est What. Now that she's out of a recording recluse, you should see her popping up more and more around the city - and as always, at The Human Bean in Cobourg where she first made her mark.
