In December of 2006, 16 year olds Pat Burns and Jeff Copoc set up a jam session. They were both in their own bands but were seeking something new. Their influences and tastes on music collided and they both could see the potential in Grindstone. In early February, Pat and Jeff hit the studio. Paying a small amount but getting good results, they decided to make a four song demo. In april of 2007 Grindstone found there missing piece, Adam Zimmer. Adam also loving the music and the style, added a huge amount to Grindstone. With catchy bass riffs and a positive attitude, Adam and the rest of Grindstone became ready to take over. Playing a series of shows around their local area, Grindstone immediately had a fan base. This drove them to play more and more shows. After jamming for only 3 months, the boys were named Battle of the bands winners for 2007 at J's Place in Brantford. Grindstone could now see the full potential that their music had to offer. After posting there song " Change " Grindstone was getting messages from all over. Grindstone has decided to record a 12 song CD entitled " Overview" and have it complete by the end of October. This will be a huge stepping stone for the boys, and will turn out positive. Grindstone is a fast paced band that loves to stay on track and take their music careers as serious as possible. Grindstone has many plans for the near and upcoming future. At the young age of 16, Jeff, Pat and Adam are ready to take on any obstacle that stands in their way. Grindstone is ready to see just what the world of rock has to offer.
