About Me

The General Crap
Left-handed :: Terminally optimistic :: Engaged, and ridiculously happily so :: Wields sasrcasm like a weapon :: some would call it scathing wit, others abrasive smartass behaviour :: video game addict :: unapologetic gadget geek :: incurable caffeine addiction

Romantic
Married to the beautiful Riot, who seems to redefine happiness for me daily. October 13th 2006 was the big day.

Modded
I love the process of being modded. I have two tattoos (shark on my left shoulder blade, zodiac symbol on my right arm at the shoulder), and three piercings (one ear, two nipple), not to mention a retired eyebrow piercing. I love the sound of the tattoo gun, I love the smell of the ink. I live for the breath-stopping rush of the needle piercing the flesh. Oh, if I only had the cash... I need a wealthy benefactor to finance my getting modded *laughs*

Business Owner
I am part owner of a little web design company called Wenex Technologies. Well, we started out doing web design, and have kind of expanded to fit the needs of various demanding clients. So we do logo and graphic design, hosting, some tech support, and desktop publishing where the need fits. It's probably only a matter of time before we're doing things like servicing A/C units or selling ink cartridges.

I'm frequently at odds with my business partner. His plan seems to diversify (see paragraph above), where I think it's a little more important to perfect existing core services. So I'm honing my skills, trying to practice what I like to call "responsible" web design, which I think I'll elaborate on at some point. But yeah, management conflicts. It comes from sharing a business with your father, I guess :P

Inspiration
The written word has a knack for moving me. In particular, the likes of e.e. cummings, Chuck Palahniuk, Stephen King, and Otep Shamaya have a strong impact on my creative thinking and philosophies towards life.

My Interests

Internet/computer junk, music, creating, body modification, exercise, astrology, the supernatural, sports, human/animal rights causes

I'd like to meet:

People who have a good sense of humour and don't offend too easily :: Bands playing music that is equal parts inspired and inspirational :: People I already know from other places, who happen to have a MySpace profile as well

Music:

Heh... where to begin? Well, every band on my friends list is a good start.

Movies:

Fight Club, Memento, 28 Days Later, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Usual Suspects, Sin City

Television:

I've developed a weakness for certain reality series. Survivor, The Amazing Race, America's Next Top Model are particular guilty pleasures. There's not a whole lot beyond that, though.

Books:

I don't think in terms of particular books, rather than authors: Cherie Priest, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Chuck Palahniuk.

Heroes:

I don't really have heroes so much as sources of inspiration: Otep Shamaya; Scott Weiland; Dave Shea; Frank O'Dea. I don't really care if you don't recognize some or all of those names.

Just what I need... something else to play with online while I'm trying to do work! >:P Whoever sees this at this point will be pretty disappointed -- I've got a lot of stuff to add, obviously. ...
