Tim Ipsen

Greetings everyone. My name is Tim Ipsen. For those who can't tell from whatever picture is currently up, I'm a bass player. I am located in both Kenosha, Wisconsin (home) and Chicago (school... future home???). I've been on the Chicago scene since attending Columbia College, and in the time I have been there, I've started to become well acclimated to the people and surroundings of the city and scene. My main gig is doing free-lance work (for anyone who needs a bass player...hint hint), but there are a few groups which I have been (or still am) a part of, including: The Jazz Tritet, Alex Marianyi Quartet, Martez Rucker Quartet/Quintet, and projects with Dustin Laurenzi. In addition I have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with great musicians such as Jon Faddis, Sean Jones, Eric Person, Steve Houghton, Dean Sorenson, and David Sanchez. I also venture into the realm of composing, and I will hopefully get some original tracks up soon.
