Chuck began his musical journey at the age of seven by studying violin. By the time he reached high school he was skilled on clarinet, bass clarinet, piano, and his main instruments the electric, acoustic, and synth basses. He has studied at the Chicago Conservatory College and holds a BM degree in music merchandising from the University of Miami. Chuck is also the ensemble program coordinator and instructor in the music department of Columbia College in Chicago as well as a skilled audio engineer.
Chuck has toured the world many times performing and recording with such notable artists as David Sanborn, Grover Washington Jr., Ramsey Lewis, Joe Sample, Roy Ayres, Marlena Shaw, Jerry Butler, Phil Perry, Al DiMeola, Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Turrentine, and many others. As one of Chicago's top studio bassists Chuck has performed on hundreds of records, commercial jingles and sound tracks. Chuck is a member of the National Federation of Musicians , as well as a writer and publisher member of ASCAP.
As the owner of Earth Tone Enterprises Chuck Webb has produced and composed the scores for the major motion picture releases "How You Like Me Now!", "Vacant Lot", "Changing Man", "In Through the Out Door," and “Pieces Of A Dream.” Upcoming projects include theme and score writing for the films "Deeper Shade of Blue", and "Sweet Magnolia Dreams."
Chuck recently subbed for the show "THE COLOR PURPLE" and is now performing in the band for the Chicago production of the hit Broadway show "JERSEY BOYS."
