Young Australian Democrats

We do it differently

About Me

The Democrats are the only party in Australia seriously committed to the involvement of young people in politics. We say No to nuclear power, Yes to fairer Industrial Relations legislation . We want to affect change on a broad range of environmental issues, including Climate Change and Renewable Energy . We are fiercely committed to protecting the democratic process, in particular protecting the Senate from abuse by the other parties. Most importantly we are working for a fair and just society.

My Interests

The Australian Democrats are 'a party by the people, for the people', dedicated to participatory democracy and progressive liberalism.

The party has a proud 30 year history that includes many legislative achievements, from public health and environmental protection to increased government accountability and fairer tax and workplace laws. The Democrats have also broken many records in making the parliament more representative of all Australians.
