Vulgar is a trash metal band formed 3 years ago in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Its members are well knows musicians from the underground local scene and its music has already started to be known by headbangers all around the world. However, the band does not consider itself to be a trash metal band in the proper meaning of the term. Its sound has aggressive riffs, with heavy backgrounds and hard core influences. The most evident influences are Sepultura, Pantera and Faith no More.
Even being recognized by the specialized critic as the "new Sepultura", the band does not intend to limit themselves to the style. In fact, they consider themselves pure Rock 'n Roll, reflecting the intention to innovate and maintain their own style. "Vulgar is not a band that makes people hit themselves, we make this violence a point of reflection.! The aggressiveness turns back to the listener!" "This isn't a matter of writing hits, the world is full of them..." The band members care about the freedom of writing and, above all, commitment and professionalism.
In 2003 their demo False Evolution was released and two tracks from this demo ('False Evolution' and 'TMS') appeared in a Metal Devastation label's 'best of album' in the same year. This EP-demo resulted in many positive reviews by the specialized Brazilian media, giving the band a certain status, and opening space in the underground scene by appearing in big festivals around the country, magazine articles and specialized websites.
Soon their first album called 'Syndrome', containing 12 new tracks, will be released. 'Syndrome' is currently being mixed and mastered by Roy Z, well known guitar player and producer who has worked with the following bands: Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Judas Priest, Sebastian Bach and others.
At the moment the band is looking for contacts and partnerships to release their album and build the roots for a solid and successful career.
