About Me

Onelia is producer of the SUTIL SENSATIONS Radio Show with David Gausa, transmitted from Madrid to the whole of Spain.Hailing from Madrid, Onelia was touched by the Pop, Rock, Funk and Soul at a very early age. At 10 she asked for Duran Duran, A-Ha, Spandau Ballet and Madonna albums as birthday presents…Her taste for the Funky 70..s and 80..s disco sounds led her to House Music and all that it involves: clubs, deejays, Ibiza…where she spent the summer of ..91, discovering for the first time a world that she would know and love (and hate at times..) as the years go by.Not realizing music was her first passion, apart from being a hobby, she studied for a Computer Engineer Degree at the University in Madrid in 1993. Then moving to Lyon as Erasmus student in 1998, she obtained her degree at the National Institute of Sciences in 1999 and rushed up to Paris where she spent two years working and traveling around getting the chance to know some of the best clubs in Europe. In 2001, she relocated to Madrid where she kept working in the telecommunications world. In spring of this year she met Ricardo Gomez who would become a major influence on her beginnings in the dance music industry.Ricardo encouraged her to exploit her huge European clubbing experience and take up a microphone. She became producer of WORLD DANCE MUSIC, a radio program at Spain’s 40 PRINCIPALES channel, providing innovative international content. In a very short time she found herself connecting with the premier deejays, managers and labels from the global clubbing community. For the next three years she got the chance to interview and/or acquire the live sets of some of the most celebrated deejays such as STEVE LAWLER, CLAUDIO COCCOLUTO, ROGER SANCHEZ, PETE TONG, DAVID GUETTA, DEEP DISH, DAVE LEE, BOB SINCLAR, DJ PIPPI, ERICK MORILLO, TIM DELUXE, DARREN EMERSON...etc at clubs such as SPACE, PACHA, AMNESIA in Ibiza, SPACE OF SOUND, COOL, PACHA in Madrid, DISCOTHEQUE, CATWALK, RAZZMATAZ in Barcelona. She also had the opportunity to attend several press conferences or events like the annual DEEJAYMAG in Barcelona or the DEEJAY AWARDS in Ibiza. WORLD DANCE MUSIC was nominated as “Best Radio Show” in the DEEJAYMAG 2004 (Spanish Deejay Magazine) in turn securing first place in the DEEJAYMAG 2005.In November 2004, Onelia got to meet the Spanish Club DJ/ Radio DJ/Producer, Owner of the labels SUTIL RECORDS and SUTIL VOX - DAVID GAUSA at the Second Anniversary of WORLD DANCE MUSIC in Valencia. They became great friends and in September of 2006 she was invited to work for him as producer of SELECCION BASICA program on Cataluna’s FLAIX FM. Just two months later, they both teamed up with Spain’s national LOCA FM channel in order to launch SUTIL SENSATIONS program.SUTIL SENSATIONS is a Radio Show focused in the latest dance music aimed at the clubs all over the world: Dance floor news, chart, events, interviews and sets from national and international deejays (FELIX DA HOUSECAT, HERNAN CATTANEO, FEDDE LE GRAND, SANDER KLEINENBERG, MARK FARINA, M.A.N.D.Y, JOHN DIGWEED...etc) are brought weekly to the listeners by David Gausa as broadcaster/director and Onelia Palao as producer.SUTIL SENSATIONS combines musical quality and innovation with credibility and commerciality in every HOUSE music form: PROGRESSIVE, ELECTRO, TECH, TRIBAL, DEEP & SOULFUL HOUSE, as well as MINIMAL, TECHNO, BREAKS, TRANCE and ELECTRONIC sounds in general.Check www.myspace.com/sutilsensations
