About Me

BIO // ENGLISH
Well, all you needed to know about Gilbert Le Funk, you already know it. His remix of “Work It Out” ("San Francisco Work It Out, Barcelona Work It Out,..") by DJ Disciple lifted him up to the place Nº1 in the clubs and radios of all over the world in 2007.
He is nowadays considered as the most elegant house music producer in Spain and one of more representative Djs in European house scene.
From the release of his first record, remixing DJ Dove's "I Want It All", his rise within house music has been unstoppable. He soon became famous for being able to mix the finest music with the most uplifting grooves. Since then, he has worked for some of biggest dance labels likes Ministry Of Sound (UK), Catch 22 (NYC), Delecto (Canada), Housexy (UK), Funktion (Chicago), Molacacho (Barcelona), MoD (Switzerland), TriCircle (Germany),... and now also for its own record label "La Musique Fantastique", which is exclusively distributed on Traxsource.com
As a producer, therefore it’s no surprise that he has caught the attention of succesful worldwide artists such as Rob Harris (guitarist of Jamiroquai) or Jacobo Rispa (Spanish Goya Awards' winner as best film director) among others.
Starting in music in 1994 (at the age of 10), he now (23y.o.) acumulates around 5000 projects and songs, many of them planned to be released. He's a great fan of artists like Frank Zappa, Fantastic Plastic Machine, Incognito, Sparks, Prince or Jean Michel Jarre as well as a big collector of old disco, jazz and funky records. He also works for lots of bands and artists writing and producing in numerous music styles as well as making jingles and music for radio, TV, films and advertisement, having learned to play intruments such as the trumpet, the drums or the electric bass, instruments that himself plays in his own productions now.
In the booth he is well known for those magical, groovy and uplifting sets in clubs of all the world, some of them in places like Los Angeles, Miami, Russia, Dubai, Indonesia, Barcelona, Mallorca, Canary Islands, Madrid, Costa Rica, Lithuania, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary,..
