SUTIL RECORDS, A BRAND-NEW HOUSE LABEL FROM BARCELONA is born through DJ producer DAVID GAUSA. This label, based in BARCELONA, bets on a brand new style within the wide House Music concept and a high quality clubber philosophy. This philosophy contains Electro, Prog House, Electronic Deep Prog, Tech-House, “Old skool” strockes, Underground… being in the vanguard of all times.
The first release, “PUSH THE FEELING INSIDE YOU”, is published on 27th October 2003 and produced by GAUSA along with the consecrated Dj producer and vocalist STATIC REVENGER aka DENNYS WHITE. A month earlier, the project created by DAVID GAUSA and DEL CAMPO “AMERICAN XS (The real Xsistance)”, which should have been SUTIL RECORDS’s first release, is licensed for the whole world by SONDOS, the label of ERICK MORILLO and his SUBLIMINAL RECORDS factory.
After these two first incursions into the international world, SUTIL RECORDS also publishes projects by new or renowned artists who always have something in common: the global and subtle (Sutil) way of understanding House Sound. Artists such as PAUL JACKSON, THOMAS PENTON, STATIC REVENGER, NIKI B & CHRISTIAN E.F.F.E. or DOMINIC PLAZA (SAYES); well-known Spanish producers like DAVID TORT, D-FORMATION, GABI NEWMAN, DAVID FERRERO or CARLOS LEGAZ (Remixer of DEEP DISH), and innovative projects like SHAMEROCK formed by DJ SPIDER (YOSHITOSHI’s artist) and KIKE GONZALEZ, and many more.
Indeed, some Dj’s like PETE TONG, DEEP DISH, JOHN DIGWEED, SASHA, DANNY TENAGLIA, PAUL VAN DYK, JAMES ZABIELA, ROGER SANCHEZ, MARK KNIGHT, STEVE LAWLER, GROOVE ARMADA, TOM NOVY, TOM STEPHAN, THE SCUMFROG, REDANKA, SAEED YOUNAN, FRANCESCO FARFA and many more, have supported the tracks of this label.
In October 2005, DAVID GAUSA creates a SUTIL RECORDS’s blood-brother label, SUTIL VOX, the perfect complement for SUTIL family. It reaches out to Club Mainstream sounds like Hooks vocals, 80’s-like ElectroHouse, ElectroFunk, Classic style-based House… “UNDERCOVER” becomes the first release of this brand new label, and it was produced by GABI NEWMAN and DAVID GAUSA under NAT project with the featuring of NATALIA CLAVIER. Later on, it’s time for CARLOS LEGAZ & GALLARDO and NEWMU presents LUCA G (Background Vocals by Barbara Tucker) “STOP THE PRESSURE”, one of the mostly played tunes in IBIZA 2006. It was supported by as important Deejays as ROGER SANCHEZ. The future artist of this label, DAN MASSADA closes, by the moment, SUTIL VOX’s young catalogue.
On January 2006, DAVID GAUSA won a prize from DEEJAYMAG 2005 for the best BREAKTHROUGH LABEL for its work at the head of SUTIL RECORDS, and not enough with this on February 2006 got this same award (HOSTED BY SGAE) for its work heading SUTIL VOX, which shows the massive spirit (Club House) of SUTIL RECORDS.
We begin our adventure when the record business market is not evolving properly because of having an uncertain future but full of dreams, at the same. SUTIL RECORDS wants to do everything properly in all aspects, this is also our commitment to the industry.
