All sorts of stuff, including but not limited to My Wife Yvette & our dog Winner, Since moving to Aotearoa I've become interested in Maori Art & decoration. I've been photographing & vectorising some of the patterns I've seen & you can check that out here . I've always been interested in Celtic Art, don't know what Jim Fitzpatrick is up to nowadays. I was born in & lived in Limerick until the mid 80's, then travelled abroad for almost 15 years. Spent some time in South Africa but met a lovely Kiwi Girl with shared interests & ended up here in New Zealand.
Anyone who likes dogs .
Anything with a tune, faves include Christy Moore, Sharon Shannon with Dessie O'Halloran and Thin Lizzy. Check out my friends for some more bands I like. The thing I like most about MySpace, apart from all the strange folk, is all the different music you hear posted in the profiles - One band who you won't find on here are the Fleadh Cowboys, who I used to watch live many moons ago in Dublin. I'd love to hear some of their old stuff (pre '89) so If you can help me out, much appreciated. Finally, on the music front here's a cool video of some artworks by Barrie Maguire accompanied by a haunting irish tune from Solas.
Paris Texas, Apocalypse Now, The Big Lebowski or anything directed by the Coen brothers, One flew over the Cuckoo's nest or anything with Jack Nicholson in, Midnight Run or anything with Robert De Niro in, Dog Day Afternoon or anything with Al Pachino in etc, etc.
Fr Ted, Live Rugby, Animal Planet, The News. Not much for TV really.
The Seven Day Weekend by Ricardo Semler, Re-Imagine! by Tom Peters, The Long Tail by Chris Anderson, The innovators solution by Christensen & Raynor. One of the most influential books I've ever read was Being Digital by Nicholas Negroponte. I read this back in '96 & much of what Nick predicted has come to pass. Last but not least is my little red gideon's bible.
My wife Yvette is my Heroine. She tolerates me when others wouldn't. My Mom & Dad were heroic in their efforts to raise me. The SPCA and their volunteers are Heroes.
