About Me

Right side of 50 but wrong side of 40, mental age 19. Keep thinking I might just have to grow up one day but as yet don't see the point or been given a good enough reason. I am a keen collector of cars and have 'aquired' over 300 in the last 12 months (all of which the owners forgot to pay for!!). Was world famous (in Huddersfield!) for a while as Bass player for a rock band called Opium in the 80's. Had my own Italian Job moment at 8 years old involving a box of matches, a calor gas cylinder and the local cricket pavillion. Other memorable moments include being shot in the eye, thrown from a moving vehicle, inventing indoor surfing - down the stairs and through a glass door and teaching my best mate to drive - all before my 12th birthday!! I blame the parents. ..

Giving in

So there I was driving past Honley High School when a bunch of lads, play fighting, tumble into the road in front, slight swerve to avoid loss of no claims and on my way. It got me thinking ...
