I'm not a songwriter but sometimes I write songs
And I'm not a singer unless you can sing along.
We've all made our choices that have ended up wrong
But they've fueled our fires and given birth to our songs.
So I think it's time we accept our graces
'Cause after all, we're just angels with dirty faces.
-Heather Raye
"Hailing from the small Virginia mountain town of Buchanan, Heather Raye first learned the magic of harmony vocals while frequenting bluegrass jams with her banjo strumming grandfather. As a teenager, she headed south through the Sandhills of North Carolina in search of further musical inspiration. It was during this time that a chance encounter with a Raleigh legend would change her life forever. At a party in the Southern Pines, Heather Raye would stumble across the late-great Nathan Davis playing his melodious guitar. A great friendship would blossom and, before long, the two kindred spirits were harmonizing together across the Southern Pines Bar circuit.
After traveling to Raleigh, Heather Raye met up with many talented musicians including Evenfall and Jason Adamo. She would share the stage with them on numerous occasions, utilizing the harmonies that were fast becoming her trademark. It wasn’t until she met producer and friend Sean Roux, however, that she began to truly hone her vocal talents. Since then, she has recorded backing vocals for Brad Benson and Ashley River Rising (now known as Silver). More importantly, Heather Raye has stepped out from the background and onto center stage. For the first time in her life, Heather Raye is booking solo shows and has begun recording her first solo EP, which she expects to have completed before years end. A generous blend of alt/country with a strong pop sensibility, the EP and its artist are sure to please fans of any musical genre."

"Music is one of the best and safest medicines for the mind you can ever endure. It is the one remedy that won't give you horrible side affects. The more you listen with an open mind the more you grow as a human being. Listening to music helps you develop your own creativity as well as curb negative emotion. MUSIC helps you release deep emotions so you can move on and become a smarter, better person less apt to make the same mistakes. Music is a form of communication that can leave you hooked or teach you about the harsh realities within yourself. It is honest, expressive and free. Listen without prejudice..."
