NEW CD IS AVAILABLE!

About Me

OUR NEW CD, A LITTLE MORE ROAD, IS now available at Winston-Salem Border's, Ed McKays and Record Exchange. ALSO AVAILABLE online at iTunes, CDBABY.com and DIGSTATION.com
Who are the bo-stevens?
The roots of this roots band go deep. Richard Boyd came to love the Tele twang and pedal steel swells of Honky Tonk at his father’s knee. Richard Sr. recorded two country songs in the 1950s just a few doors down from the art studio where the bo-stevens got their start. Shortly after that first gig Scott Brandenburg and Greg Bell joined Richard, Jeff Shu and Mark Peurifoy to become the bo-stevens.
In 2004, replacing Scott, Andy Mabe brought his fine standup bass talents to the ensemble and the group released Can’ts Never Could, a mix of original songs and old-school covers, which was lauded in the local press for its unvarnished honesty and retro leanings.
July 2006 marked the debut of Billie Feather on bass adding classically-trained chops to this motley cast. On September 8, 2007 the band celebrated the release of A Little More Road, another journey through Richard and company’s old-school sound.
KEEP IT COUNTRY.
