Erik Smallwood wants to be the bluesy-soul in your right ear and the pop-rock in your left. A recent transplant from Alabama, you might not have heard of him, but you have heard his music all around the Triangle. Blessed with a sensuous bluesy growl, Erik flawlessly blends his God-given gifts with incredible pop-driven hooks and soulful guitar wrangling to create a sound entirely his own.
Grasping his roots in gospel music and using U2, Sting, and Jeff Buckley as wings, Erik Smallwood wants you to hear his music and wants it to change your life as it has his. A fun-loving man with a wickedly quick wit, Erik's stage presence is entertainment in and of itself. With an Album due in Spring '07 and a few chats with North Carolina Producers, Erik is thriving in the music scene. Smallwood hopes to be on the road by Fall '07 with an ever so anticipated supporting tour of his debut release "butterflies & Conversation" and a fresh live show.
