In the Realm of the Senses 07

In the Realm of the Senses has operated as an annual outdoor short film festival and regular indoor screening event dedicated to raising the profile of short film in Australia for almost 6 years now. By expanding screening opportunities, providing a regular platform for filmmakers to showcase their work in both a competitive and non-competitive atmosphere, we unite the film making community, raise the public's awareness of short film and provide new and emerging film makers the opportunity to screen their infectious storytelling spirit and diversity.
Since it's inception on April 8th 2001, the event has integrated many art forms including live theatre, cabaret, comedy, visual projections and DJ's, with the primary focus on screening short films.
Highlights have been the 6 consecutive ‘In the Realm of the Senses’ outdoor film festivals held in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007 respectively. In total we have held over 90 events nationally and internationally.
Our next event will be 'Short Circuit 07' - a series of monthly screening nights featuring the shortlisted submissions from our recent 2007 competition held on March 3rd.
We are eagerly searching for an appropiate venue in Melbourne, so stay tuned!
These nights will feature live music, performers, door prizes, random acts of kindness, full bar courtesy of the venue.
