The Plague Year of AUDIOSCOPE

Retro Electronic Chamber Music

About Me

The retro-electronic music conception and stage program "The Plague Year" is a creation of AUDIOSCOPE, an international cooperation between three artists living in Germany, Norway and Latvia. Thought as a homage to the very early works of the former post-industrial Band THE KLINIK- and of course those who influenced them before, it sounds brutal and beautiful in a special bitter way. Without any form of copying or sampling the original THE KLINIK sources- but by using some of the same very rare historic synthesizers and vintage machines, the result is closer to that legendary dark and cold sound aesthetic than any other since the duo split! The second reference for "The Plague Year", is DANIEL DEFOE´s fascinating book "A Journal of the Plague Year"! Defoe describes the horrifying daily events in London city as it was besieged by bubonic plague. All lyrics and titles used in our work are swayed by his account of the Great Plague of London (1664-65). In the future it will be possible to order "The Plague Year" music or to book a stage performance by using the Band's mainpage AUDIOSCOPE.DE Until this is installed just drop me a mail here on myspace if you need more information about our current activities. Keep healthy!
