About Me

I am a rock dj. I play mostly indie rock and crazy rock but I do cover all points in between.
I use records...
and (only if I have to)... an ipod.
I DJ every tuesday in the Lizard Lounge at the Chameleon Club (lancaster, PA) on Thursdays I DJ as NED TUGENT (all classic rock) at the Mountville Inn (biker bar) in Mountville, PA
I also run Rock N Roll Bingo (Lounge)with Kranch, and the Brainlord Trivia Night (again, Lounge) and Dinner* And A Movie (@ the Keppel) with El Prez Matt. And every first friday Me, Em, and Guido DJ in the form of the Holy Thrinity for the big First Friday After Party in (you guessed it) the Lounge.
All that stuff keeps me pretty busy through the week, on weekends I do parties and weddings and stuff like that.
which leads me to this:
I am "for hire"
if you want me to rock some sort of function, just hit me up and I'll be there to just go nuts with my records...just totally nuts.
No Macarena.
No Chicken Dance.
No Electric Slide.

Music:

fugazi. arab strap. jay-z. low. neutral milk hotel. daft punk. hot water music. whiskeytown. tom petty. the hellacopters. fu manchu. lungfish. the decemberists. cory branan. the hold steady. ink and dagger. steely dan. the beastie boys. yes. wu tang clan.
I listen to alot of stuff. all across the board. for the most part I can find something to like about all of it.

Movies:

lots of em. standouts: full metal jacket. boogie nights. this is spinal tap. back to the future. star wars. lotr. airplane! saturday night fever. easy rider. eraserhead. goodfellas.

Television:

there's really not too much that I don't like about television. shows: the O.C. (R.I.P.) 30 rock. the venture bros. curb your enthusiasm. league of gentlemen. understanding. how its made. good eats. the office (british and U.S.) the channels: food network. the learning channel. vh1 classic. comedy central. cartoon network. the science channel.

Books:

summer reading list: Don Quixote. maybe more. maybe not, I'll probably still be reading it 5 summers from now we'll see. but first... the complete hitchhiker's guide. its coming along.

Heroes:

ian mackaye. and my 11th grade sociology teacher please don't ask me to spell his name... mr. blaszcyk (is that right?) that guy fucking ruled.

The lost art of missing the joke.

I just (well not just... like an hour or so ago) got off the phone with Julius Brunk. I did it, I called him, on the telephone to actually talk to him, as opposed to slinging shit around on the intern...
