Much LOVE from Sedona, Arizona. PEACE, *2 SUNS*************The vision for 2 SUNS started back in 1995 in New York City. Gina Donello and Gary Bettum after years of performing many styles of music, wanted to form a band with the intention of combining soulful Rock-n-Roll and conscious, uplifting lyrics.In April of 1995, at the Spiral in NYC, 2 SUNS performed for the first time. The original lineup was Gina Donello, Gary Bettum, Roy Johansen, Walter Ramin and Joey Felosa. Some of the music on the 1st CD was written at this time. Throughout that year they played at some of NYC’s finest rock clubs.In September of 1996 Gina and Gary moved to Sedona Arizona. There they re-formed 2 SUNS with Zirque Bonner and Jared Caron. During this period they wrote the rest of the music for the 1st CD. 2 SUNS performed locally with Zirque and Jared, as well as Will Geurts, Tina Reichow, Karl Lemke and Bill Juharof.
The recording of the CD began in April of 1999 at Planet Z Studio in Sedona, and was completed in September of 2001. During the next year they put the finishing touches on the CD, mixing with Ralf Illengurger at dB Studio, and mastering with Louis Hemsley in LA. The CD was released in September of 2002.Gina and Gary continued playing live locally, as well as, in California and Phoenix now with the help of Eddie Barattini, Mark Thomas, Troy Perkins and Ron James.In May of 2004, 2 SUNS began working on their 2nd CD, with Lee Curreri and Gavin Christopher at Urban Beach Studio in Marina Del Rey California. Gavin and Kristen Vigard have also been helping out on background vocals. It has been a very exciting and creative learning experience.As of August 2007, 12 songs have been recorded and their 2nd CD is near completion. Gina and Gary feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work with so many talented musicians. Writing, recording, and performing this music is very fulfilling to our hearts and our purpose. Over the next few years, 2 SUNS looks forward to bringing this music out into the world.
