I am here for Friends

About Me

I live in chaos, but not by choice. I usually show up right after things have fallen apart. Or right before. Almost everything I do has some kind of artistic intent. My favorite outlet is performance. Adventurous fashion is a form of prayer. I hold no ill will toward anyone. I value individuality, inventiveness, arrogance, naivete, freedom, the process and boldness. I believe that our natural state is unfettered joy.
This break from reality just in:
I am a clown. Though it doesn't really show in the way you'd think. It manifests as shattered illusions and inexplicable circumstance. I am very disinterested in pirates. They are bad people. I've been now told that there is more than one type of pirate. I mean, how can the ones that talk funny be any better than the ones that will kill you for your boat and throw your body in the water? Don't get me wrong though. I'm not a bigot, I do have a pirate friend. However I will always make room at the dinner table for a ninja.
This part is stolen:
violence has never solved anything, except slavery, facism, communism, and oppression.
to believe that social change can take place without a fight against the conservative norms of those in power is self delusion of the most destructive kind to any cause.
friendship is not defined by how much fun you have with someone, not by how many beers you've knocked back together, or how many parties you've gone to, but whether or not someone will answer the call in times of greatest despair, will come to fight the demons no one else believes are there, and who will get you home, when the time has long past that you can get there yourself. friends are family you make for yourself.
This part isn't:
You don't have to be beaten every day within an inch of your life to be controlled, damaged and intimidated with emotional and physical domestic violence. Love is not supposed to hurt. Call the STAND hotline if you feel hurt or confused by your relationship and need confidential advice. 888-215-5555.
There once was a girl who lived in a sheltered world that her parents created out of sugar and spice. They analyzed and charted out what she might encounter in the big bad unknown and used statistics to create the environment that was most likely to make her safe and happy. Uncontent with the limited view this delightful shelter provided and its unforseen restricted range of freedom, she left the shelter in search of new and exciting things. "You never get anywhere unless you take a risk," she thought with her practical and well-balanced sense of logic. So in that knowledge she tried various unusual and exotic experiences and met many delightful and unique people along the way. In wide-eyed wonder she ventured further into this big bad unknown, determined to see what there really was to see. As her journey continued, a cloud was forming in the sky. Clouds were nothing new to her. Luck was was on her side at that time. Anytime the clouds got near she could always dart back into the cozy shelter where she could watch the weather through a tiny windowpane above her canopy bed. Her journey progressed. Little rain droplets misted around her as the clouds darkened. She knew this was the sort of thing that her parents feared she would encounter, but she continued on. There was an umbrella in her bag for such an occasion, though she had no idea that she was experiencing the beginning showers of a torrential storm. She decided to seek the hollow of a tree to bide her time until the torrent subsided. It seemed like several hours that she was huddled between the roots. She was almost completely sure it was past dinnertime. Before her patience for the storm ran out, a lightning bolt struck her shelter of a tree splitting one of its main branches from the trunk. The branch landed in front of the girl right on top of her little umbrella. She found this experience horrifying and something that she did not want to repeat. Finally she had seen enough to know that her parents were right and there was no two ways about the world. She feared for her life and worried that other trees would fall around her as she tried to make her way home. Maybe she will make it back to safety.
