The VOYCES originated from a high school based choir but the name of Voices of Marshall, under the direction of Anthony J. McGahee. In, 1999, due to spiritual growth as well as natural, the ministry took on the name as Minister Anthony J. McGahee & The VOYCES. God has birth an explosive ministry through these young people. The individuals who are associated with this ministry all come from various backgrounds as well as all different walks of life. These young people range from the ages of 16 and up. the ministry consists of young men and young women who love to minister through song to souls who are lost and also those who are just in the need of something from God.
The choir has adopted a theme of "Giving God nothing but Praise!" This theme truly hits the heart of many members of this organization. God has proven himself many times and regardless of the situation or how things may seem, we believe in "Giving God Nothing but Praise!: We have come to the realization that praise is the weapon to destroy Satan's contract he has against us.
God has many more blessings in stored for this group of young people who are on fire for him. In August 2006, Min. Anthony McGahee and The Voyces released their first single CD titled, "The Promise."
